Announcements ❖ WELCOME BACK! We had a great opening of school this
week. It is so exciting to have our student's laughter filling our hallways and classrooms again. Thank you to everyone for making the first couple of days a success!
❖ Important- Don’t forget to update your contact information in PowerSchool. This is the information we use for all communications.
❖ Please be advised that the playground is not accessible to the public during school hours.
❖ When calling your child(ren) absent from school, please make sure you give us a specific reason why your child is out.
❖ If you are making any changes to your child's pick-up procedure, it is recommended you send in a note prior to or on the day of the changes. In the event of an emergency, contact the main office prior to 2:45 p.m.
❖ Don’t forget to turn in your summer reading logs to your teacher!

The 2019-2020 PTO Annual membership is $30 per household. The annual membership gives you access to the Paperless PTO App, family directory, Food
Sales ordering, voting at PTO meetings and helps financially support some of our events/programs approved for the school year.

September is Duchenne Action Month!
Join the fight to End Duchenne this September! Duchenne Action
Month is the perfect opportunity for our community to come together
and take simple and powerful actions to raise awareness and fund the
fight to End Duchenne which has impacted one of our very own special
Watchung families. Jaylen is a student at Bayberry Elementary School.

Why September?
With the growing recognition of World Duchenne Awareness Day on
September 7, Congress returning to work after summer recess, our kids
heading back to school and the need to reach out to teachers and
administrators about Duchenne, September is the perfect month to take
action to raise awareness and crucial funds to support the fight to end
Duchenne.

Cream Social at 6:30PM on Friday, September 13, 2019 and
all proceeds from the sales of cotton candy will go directly to
the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy in honor of Jaylen.

Dear Parents & Staff,
Welcome back from summer. J Simply Gourmet is excited to resume lunch services for the 2019-2020 school year.
September orders may be placed after August 16, 2019
(You will need to have your new teacher/class assignments to place your orders)

no trans fats, and limited gmo’s; only fresh super foods that promote a healthy diet for children!
Each component of your meal may be customized; (Click on the edit this day button on the menu to view your alternate options). New orders, and/or changes to existing orders, must be placed at least three days in advance of the day you would like to receive services. If your needs change last minute, just call us, we will be happy to add your order!! In the event of a snow day, a 50% credit will automatically be issued to your Simply Gourmet account for future use. To place your order, go to our web site:

Simply log in to your existing account or follow the directions to create a new account. There is a $1 handling fee per financial transaction. Note: The $1 handling fee is charged per order, not per child.

Good News!!! Tastefully Simple is Coming Soon
Tastefully Simple is delicious food that is easy to prepare. With products such as cinnamon melts, soup and bread mixes, and dip mixes, your meals will be a hit! Help us turn this fundraiser into a big event to give our kids a memorable and fun year! TWO ways to order your Tastefully Simple products: - Online – Easiest way AND allows your student to sell to friends and family afar! Just provide us the
information below and we will set up your online account. You will then have the ability to copy and paste your child’s personal link into an email, text or on social media to share the fundraiser with family and friends. You can even import email addresses to send email invitations to support the fundraiser. Supporters easily place their own orders online, pay securely and have their order delivered directly to their door anywhere in the country even before the fundraiser is over.
- Order Form – your student will be given a catalog and order form. Just fill out the order form as you usually would and return them by October 25th. As a bonus, if a student collects more than $75 in orders on the paper forms, those orders can be delivered directly to your home. Less than $75 and the orders will go to the school.
