What is an LED?A light-emitting diode (LED) is a type of solid-state lighting (SSL) that emits visible light when an electric current passes through it.

How are LEDs better?

Energy Efficient: Incandescent bulbs release 90% of their energy as heat. LEDs produce the same amount of light while using significantly less energy.

Long-Lasting: LEDs last up to 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Their expected lifetime can range from 35,000 to 50,000 hours, compared to 1,000 to 2,000 hours with incandescent lights.

Size: LED lights are very compact and low profile, an advantage where space is at a premium and a lotof light is required to create large lighting displays.

Controllability: LEDs are easily integrated with circuts to control dimming and color-changingcharacteristics. Ability to create dynamic light shows.

Durability: LEDs use no breakable glass or filaments, so they are resistant to vibration, great for high-trafficand loud locations such as nightclubs.

From backlighting a bar, to decorativecoved ceilings, to a flashing dance floor – your optionsare endless!

LED Strip lighting is flexible and sold by the foot or bythe reel (5 meters or 16.4 feet). In addition to different brightness level options, there are a wide variety of color choices – a full range of white options plus red, green, blue, amber & RGB color-changing.

Color Tunable StripOur newest addition is “color tunable” strip lightingwhich lets you adjust the color of white you prefer – from warm white (2,400°K) to daylight white (6,500°K) and any color in between.

n-Chip Color MixingThat means the red, green and blue primary colors are mixed into your desired color together on the LED chip, so you can't see the individual colors. This reduces theworry of seeing separate colors on your wall or counter.

Track and DiffusersFor direct light applications, we offer a cuttable track with diffuser which helps to smooth out the light and reduce “hot spots.” It is also helpful when installing over a shiny surface like a countertop or glass shelving.

Environmental Lights also offers a line of premium super-flat LED rope lighting which is another great option for bars and nightclubs. In additon to being waterproof, it is much brighter than regular rope light because it uses larger 5050 LEDs (5 mm square).

Best of all, super-flat rope uses wire to carry current – not circuit boards – which means you can connect up to a full reel (20 meters or 65.7 feet) in a line. Makinglarge scale installations easier than ever!

On-chip color mixing allows you to create any color youwant with the color-changing RGB rope, or choose fromour dimmable soft or daylight white rope.

DimmableOne of the major benefits of using LED lights is how bright the lights are for the small amount of power required for the LEDs. Dimming them is easy and inexpensive with our extensive line of 12- and 24-volt dimming drivers and wall switches.

LED ControllersLooking for a little “wow factor” in your club? We offer programmable LED controllers to create lighting effects and colors you never knew possible.

Sound-to-Light ControllerThe Sound-to-Light LED Controller flashes your LED strips to the music. You can use the built-in microphone or a standard audio coaxial jack on the side of the unit.

RGB LED Controller (10 Zone)The 10 Zone Controller allows you to control up to 10 areas or rooms separately with any color combinations you want! The remote control has a touch wheel with thirty steps allowing you to quickly set your lights to the desired color. (picture above)

Programmable Micro Remote Control Designed to easily mix your own custom colors and program the transition and fade times for the strip.

DMX ControllersWe also have an extensive line of DMX controllers, amplifiers and decoders for dynamic lighting systems, such as the Easy Standalone controller and our advanced Traxon Light Drive DMX system.
