A New GREEN House!
Ronald McDonald House Montreal
T he new House is al-
most ready by now
and the families will bene-
fit a place with 15 more
bedrooms and covering
twice the surface it cur-
rently covers.
The energy that will be
used in the new construc-
tion is the geothermal en-
ergy, which comes from
earth and is converted in
heat.
As the main components
of a geothermal system are
shel tered f rom bad
weather, the system is lasting
and reliable.
Furthermore the house’s
windows allow the day light
to come in an optimal way so
the energy consumption is
reduced.
Finally, the paint used for the
house is a natural one and no
noxious fumes emanate from
it.
By changing the way that we
develop our infrastructure,
we are giving a helping hand
to the environment!

exist without the volunteers fun-
damental support. Those people give
their time to make the house warm and
welcoming.

Ernst et Roselia who come to give us a
hand every Tuesday since many years?
Their cheerfulness is contagious and is
like a ray of light in the residents’ day!
And Jean-Guy who has been coming
for many years every Thursday to help
Mr Guay, our maintenance attendant?
And what would happen with our
plants if Nicole was not coming to
take care of them?
Lets not forget about the lovely ladies
who prepare some delicious pastries
and the volunteers who are there to
welcome you at the reception or to
help with the house maintenance!
Those people are doing an amazing
job, please don not hesitate to tell
them the next time you see them!
