replaced by two seperate and full fledged universities in the jammu

subsequent replaced by an Act of the state legislator According the

university of kashmir came in to existance on 5th september 1969

with the jurisdiction over the kashmir province of the state of Jammu

and Kashmir

weekly mailed lessons The first distance education course in the

modern sense was provied by sir Isaac Pitman in the 1840s who

taught a system of shorthand by mailing text transcribed into
