A Preacher’s Perspective
ORD, thou hast been our dwelling
place in all generations. Before themountains were brought forth, orever thou hadst formed the earth andthe world, from everlasting toeverlasting thou art God.
hou turnest man back to the dust, and sayest, "Turn back, O children of
men!" For a thousand yearsin thy sight are but asyesterday when it ispast, or as awatch in the
night.
hou dostsweep menaway; theyare like adream, likegrass whichis renewed in
the morning: in the morning itflourishes and is renewed; in theevening it fades and withers.
For we are consumed by thyanger; by thy wrath we are overwhelmed.
hou hast set our iniquities beforethee, our secret sins in the light of thycountenance.
For all our days pass awayunder thy wrath, our years come to an
end like a sigh. The years of our lifeare threescore and ten, or even by
reason of strength fourscore; yet their span is but toil
and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.

ho considers the power of thy anger, and thy wrath according to the fear ofthee?
So teach us to number ourdays that we may get a heart ofwisdom.
Return, O LORD! Howlong? Have pity on thy servants!
atisfy us in the morningwith thy steadfast love, that we may rejoice andbe glad all our days.
Make us glad asmany days as thou hastafflicted us, and as many
years as we have seen evil.
et thy workbe manifestto thyservants, andthy gloriouspower totheir
children.
et the favor of theLord our God beupon us, andestablish thou thework of our handsupon us, yea, thework of our hands
establish thou it.

Who I Am in ChristI AM ACCEPTED
I AM SECURE
I AM SIGNIFICANT
I am God’s child.I am Christ’s friend.I have been justified.I am united with the Lord, and I am one spirit with Him.
I have been bought with a price. I belong to God.
I am a member of Christ’s Body.I am a saint.I have been adopted as God’s child.I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit.I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins.I am complete in Christ.
I am free from condemnation.I am assured that all things work together for good.I am free from any condemning charges against me.I cannot be separated from the love of God.I have been established, anointed and sealed by God.
I am confident that the good work God has begun in me will beperfected.
I am a citizen of heaven.I am hidden with Christ in God.I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and
a sound mind.I can find grace and mercy in time of need.I am born of God and the evil one cannot touch me.
I am the salt and light of the earth.I am a branch of the true vine, a channel of His life.I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit.I am a personal witness of Christ.I am God’s temple.I am a minister of reconciliation for God.I am God’s coworker.I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realm.I am God’s workmanship.I may approach God with freedom and confidence.I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
