Many DJJ employees have gone even beyond the extraordinary work they already are doing on behalf of our youth by donating their skills to the community in various ways. Above: Central Region Program Manager Stephanie Garrison put her sewing skills to work, making nearly 60 masks she donated to two area hospitals, including VCU Medical Center (left). She and Tabitha Young-Osborne also assembled gift bowls for offices in the Central Region, which were delivered during Public Service Recognition Week. Below, from left: Statewide Program Manager Beth Stinnett sewed about 100 masks to donate to various organizations. And Yvonne B. Miller High School Quilting Instructor Roy Mitchell has been making masks nonstop for the last three weeks; he estimates he has made more than 800 so far to donate to various hospitals and long-term care facilities.
