Make the bottom-body. (diagram1) 1. Use Nymo D black. 2. I learned this stitch at About.com site. Its called bicone beaded beads with

flat round peyote. I arranged it for her bottom-body. Pick up three beads tied in a circle, leaving 15cm tail. For the second RAW add one bead between the first bead and the second bead. In this manner, add two more beads. The step-up method is the same as tubular peyote’s. For the third row, add two beads between the first bead and the second bead, two beads between the third and the fourth, and two beads between the fifth and the sixth. I show you the table and diaagram1 below. Notice you need to put a long rhombic bead into this bottom-body before starting to decrease.

3. After finish weaving, weave remaining threads back and forth to reinforce.

Make the face (diagram2) Notice: I don’t use needles here. Use a monofilament string. (40cm) 1. String a Czech round gold, black and gold on a string. Bring them to the

center of the string. For convenience in the diagram, I colored the left hand string Blue (B) and the right Pink (P) in the diagram2.

2. Now add one gold on B and bring P end through it from right to left, making a crossover. Now you have two strings coming out of one bead, pointing in opposite directions.

3. Add one gold on both B and P. Pick up one new black and make a cross in it. Add one gold on both B and P. Pick up one new gold bead and make a cross over in it.

4. Add one gold on both B and P. Thread P through the first black bead at the opposite end.

5. Pull both strings tightly making a knot just next to the first bead. Put a dab of glue on the knot. Thread one end of B through the bead and pull B tight so that the knot will hide in it. Thread the remaining strings back through the beads to secure. Trim them.

Make the middle-body. (diagram3) Note: I don’t use needles here. Use a monofilament string (60cm) 1. The technique used here is called Beads Ball. It’s consisted with pentagonal

flower motifs. I like this technique. It can be used a pendant. 2. For convenience, the right hand string is colored Blue (B) and the Left is Pink

(P) in the diagram3. 3. The method is almost the same as the one above. The thread path is pretty

complicated at first. It’s easier to follow the diagram. The point is to focus on which bead is a crossing bead.

4. Note: Before finishing, put a Czech round 8mm crystal into this body.

Make the wings. (diagram4) Note: I don’t use needles here. Use a fishing monofilament string (40cm*2) 1. Follow the diagram4. Weave 2 wings. Pull the strings tight to shape wings. 2. After finishing, attach the wings to the middle-body. You need to choose the

appropriate places where the wings sit neatly.

Make antennae (diagram5) 1. String 5 11/0 black seed beads, one 11/0 gold lined seed bead, two black seed

beads, one 8/0 black bead and one 11/0 black seed bead on a coated nylon wire. Bend the wire and pass the last black bead just strung. Thread the wire back through the rest of the beads just strung.

2. Make the same antenna, following the explanation above. 3. Pick a crimp bead and thread both wires (1 and 2) through it. Press it as hard

as you can. Follow the diagram5.

Finish (diagram6) 1. Now put them together in order to make a Queen Bee. Follow the diagram6. 2. Thread the wires of the antennas through the face, the Czech round crystal

bead in the middle-body (black part is the bottom side), and the black long bead in the bottom-body.

3. Pick up last crimp bead and string the two wires through it. Pull the wires, adjusting each item where they are settled. Press it as hard as you can. Trim the wires. Attach a pin back on her back with remaining strings or threads.
