CONTEXT
• Institut national du patrimoine, Paris‘Le patrimoine architectural des empires coloniaux Européens’ September 7-9, 2005
• COST Action IS0904, Brussels ‘European Architecture beyond Europe’June 2011-June 2014
To produce a broader understanding of the worldwide spread of European architecture across empires during the nineteenth and twentieth century by focusing on its vectors, connections, semantics and materiality in a large range of geographic and linguistic contexts engaging both Western and non-Western environments.
The development of digital resources as a first step towards the building of a research infrastructure.
The main goal is to create a global network of researchers active in the field.
