~ REFLECTION ~ We are called Christian because we choose to follow Jesus Christ. As we gather for worship today, it might be good to reflect on who Christ is for us, just as he asks the question in today’s Gospel: “Who do you say that I am?” The answer that we give will tell us much about who we need to be in this world. Let us pray today for the grace to live up to the name of Christ with which we identify our-selves.

~ REFLEXION ~

Lord Jesus, I give You my hands, To do Your work. I give You my feet, To go Your way. I give You my eyes, To see as You do. I give You my tongue, To speak Your Words. I give You my mind, That You many think in me. I give You my spirit, That You may pray in me. Above all, I give You my heart, That You may love in me Your Father and all people. I give You my whole self, That You may grow in me. So that it is You, Lord Jesus, Who live and work and pray in me. Amen. Senor Jesus, Te entrego mis manos, Para hacer Tu trabajo. Te entrego mis pies, Para ir hacia Ti. Te entrego mis ojos, Para ver como tu vez. Amen

Did You Know? It is important to help children understand the difference between telling on others and sharing information that could help keep them-selves or someone else safe. Teach chil-dren about secrets that are okay (a sur-

prise birthday party), and secrets that are never okay (don’t tell mom or dad that...), and, perhaps most importantly, what to do if someone asks them to keep a bad secret. Speaking up can save a kid from harm or abuse. To request a copy of the VIRTUS® article “To Tattle or Protect” email [email protected] or call (213) 637-7227. Sabia Usted?
