ARTWORK& PRODUCTIONFI-TA will endeavour to submit initial artwork within three business days. After this, up to three alterations to the design are allowed by the client before a fee of $10.00 per alteration comes into effect. For this reason it is vital that you provide FI-TA with as much information as

possible at the beginning.

Production will commence after final approval of art work has been provided. Other production and artwork notes are below:

• Artwork is indicative of logo placement and colour only. Due to the nature of sublimation and production, colours and patterns on the finished garment may not accurately match what is

displayed in the artwork.

It is very important that you check all the areas of your artwork to ensure we provide you with the best possible product. This includes logos, spelling and colours.

• FI-TA is able to match to Pantone Colour Standards, however it must be noted that a 5% colour tolerance is normal and acceptable in this Industry.

• Orders will only be received in writing.

• FI-TA allows 4-6 weeks for production, which will commence when the final artwork has been approved by the client and quantities confirmed.

• Alterations to patterns will be subject to additional fees and will affect production time.

• Courier costs will vary depending on location and will be confirmed when goods are to be

delivered.

• Orders with a total value of under $1000 will be required to pay a minimum of 50% before production commences.

• Please note and follow all washing and care instructions on the labels. FI-TA will not accept responsibility for incorrect washing or damage of goods.

Sublimation can provide a limitless selection of colours to choose from but to make the process

simpler, here’s some of our tried and true colour selections. We can also match to Pantone Colour

Standards and blend colours in gradients.

Sublimation printing, also known as heat transfer or paper print, is one of the most popular processes in the industry due to the following advantages:

• No screen set up costs.

• Unlike screen printing, the detail which can be achieved in sublimation printing artwork is unlimited and colours will not crack or fade.

• There are no colour limitations.

The process begins with artwork being printed onto paper, then transferred onto fabric using a heat process. In more technical terms, a sublimation printer is a computer printer which employs a printing process that uses heat to transfer dye onto fabric. The sublimation name is applied because the dye transitions between the solid and gas states without going through a liquid stage.

To get the highest quality possible, we require that the logos you supply to us are in a vector format. High resolution jpeg logos are acceptable, however if we deem a logo to be too poor in quality to print, a raster-to-vector conversion fee of $20.00 will be charged.

A vector file (Fig.1) is a graphics file that contains a vector image made up of lines, points and curves based on mathematical equations. Vector files include .EPS, .AI, .PDF. Unlike raster images, an advantage of vector is it can be resized without any change to the quality of the image. A raster image is made of hundreds (or millions) of tiny squares of colour information, referred to as either pixels or dots. These cannot be scaled up without loss and may appear jagged or pixelated (Fig. 2). Raster files include .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF, .TIF. (Please note raster files resaved as vector files will not convert the file to vector.)
