The Nelson Fiscal Court, at the meeting to be held on December 18, 2018 at 9:00 am, at the Nelson Fiscal Courtroom, 1 Court Square, Bardstown, Kentucky, will call for a second reading and thereafter present amendments to Alcohol Beverage Control Ordinance.
Except for Chaplin precinct E104 which remains dry, the ordinance establishes uniform regulations and requirements for the licensing and regulation of alcoholic beverage sales pursuant to authorization under KRS Chapters 241 through 244. Specifi cally, it establishes the need for certain licenses and the costs for same; establishes an alcohol beverage control administrator and outlines duties for that administra-tor; itemizes advertising requirements; conditions of applications and licenses and revocation or suspen-sion of same; and establishes hours of package sales and retail “by the drink” for malt beverages or distilled spirits between the hours of 6:00 a.m. until midnight except for Sundays; permits package sales on Sunday from 6:00 a.m. until midnight on Sunday and, with a Sunday retail drink license, permits by the drink sales on Sunday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and midnight; establishes penalties for violation of the ordinance.
