Scouting helps 6-26 year olds grow in confidence, achieve their full potential and become active members of their communities.

This is only possible through the efforts of 10,000 adult volunteers who also enjoy the fun and friendship of Scouting.

Trusted by nearly 100,000 parents each week, the scout movement welcomes members from all backgrounds, faiths and cultures.

Special emphasis is placed on bringing Scouting to young people who currently do not benefit, particularly those in inner cities, rural regions and disadvantaged areas.

VOLUNTEERING IN SCOUTING

• Leaders to work with young people at weekly meetings

As well as helping young people to enjoy the adventure of Scouting, you get the opportunity to try a whole range of different activities and new experiences.

Scouting may help you to develop your current skills or learn new ones.

Volunteering in Scouting can enhance your CV or simply allow you to pursue your interest in a specific hobby.

You don’t need any previous experience in Scouting, just energy and enthusiasm.

All of our adult volunteers receive full induction, in service training and ongoing support.

Many of our volunteers have full or part time occupations and help out on a flexible basis around their other commitments.

Whether you can spare two hours a week or one day a month, we need volunteers to help young people experience the challenge and adventure of Scouting.

Simply let us know your availability and how you would like to help and we will match this to roles within your local area.
