Navigation Handout Navigation

Navigation Pane Located on the left hand side of the desktop and provides quick and easy access to the major features of the applications and modules.

Menu Bar Refers to the existing Abra top menu (Actions, Processes, Reports, Rules, etc.) Employer Filter Displays the Employer selected. Help Icon Provides access to global Help.

Groups The main headings within the navigation pane that display the module or application selected. The Groups are Employees, Time Off, Payroll, Training, Reports, Setup, and System.

Sub-Groups A sub-heading within a Group. Sub-Groups change according to the Group selected. The Employees Group has two Sub-Groups; Tasks and Processes.

Group Title Bar

The name of the Group or module selected in the navigation pane. (e.g. Select Employees Group displays Employees as the Group Title)

Navigation Handout Reports

Reports Access from the Navigation Pane. Report options include selecting Reports > Employees,

Reports > Time Off, Reports > Payroll, or Reports > Training. Title Bar Title for tasks, process, information page, link, process map, displayed in workspace.

Seen below is the Title Bar for Employee and Organization Rpts. Workspace Is the space to the right of the navigation pane. Displays UIs, Report List, Process Maps, etc.





Setup Group Displays a hyperlink for the code tables. Below is a list of code tables for Employees. Select Setup > Employees and click on a specific code table link to access the code table. Also available are Setup > Time Off, Setup > Payroll, and Setup > Training

Close Icon A Red X closes the current workspace window. Close Icon




Navigation Handout Process Payroll Map

Process Payroll Map The Process Map shows the workflow associated with processing payroll. Each

flowchart box is a link to the assigned tasks. Click on the flowchart box to access the Payroll Process task.

From the Navigation Pane, select Payroll > Process Payroll

Employee Toolbar Access to Employee Information Pages. Select Employees > View/Edit Employee

Quick Launch Toolbar Provides access to the Organizer, installed MS Office applications, and

installed Abra products.

Employee Find

Employee Find The Find button on the toolbar opens the Employee Find dialog box. You can find an employee by name, ID, or Social Security Numbers. You can also press CTRL + F to open the Employee Find dialog box. 1. Click the Find button.

2. Enter Last Name, First Name, Employee ID, or SSN.

3. Click OK to start the search. The Records Found display. 4. Select desired employee.




Navigation Handout Employee Find Advanced

1. From the Navigation Pane, select Employees > View/Edit Employee.

The Employee Find Page displays. 2. Click More Options.

The additional options display.

3. Select search criteria from the options.

As you enter in your search criteria, the results display.
