2012. Inventarisasi Jenis dan Tutupan Makro Alga di Pantai Santolo
Kecamatan Pameungpeuk Kabupaten Garut.
Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2011. Tujuan penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis rumput laut yang berada di Pantai Santolo
serta nilai persentase tutupan makro alganya. Pengambilan data dilakukan
menggunakan metode transek kuadrat dengan dipilih 4 stasiun penelitian.
Pengambilan stasiun berdasarkan kedalaman di tiap stasiunnya, yaitu St. 1; 30
10cm, St. 2; 50 10cm, St. 3; 80 10cm, St. 4; 100 10cm, dan diulang
sebanyak 4 kali ulangan dengan jarak antara ulangan satu dengan lainnya 200
meter. Penghitungan tutupan menggunakan rumus Saito dan Atobe (1970).
Terdapat 13 spesies makro alga yang ditemukan, yaitu Boergesenia forbesii,
Caulerpa racemosa, Gelidium sp., Gracilaria sp., Hydroclahrus clatratus,
Hormophysa triquetra,Padina australis, Sargassumsp., Turbinaria ornata, Ulva
fasciata, Ulva flexousa, Ulva reticulata, Ulvasp. Di stasiun 1 memiliki nilai total
tutupan sebesar 8,09% dan . Di stasiun 2 memiliki nilai total tutupan sebesar
8,63%. Di stasiun 3 memiliki nilai total tutupan sebesar 11,06%. Di stasiun 4
memiliki nilai total tutupan sebesar 13,31%. Dari nilai persentase tutupan rata-rata
dan indeks penting dapat diketahui kesesuaian hidup rumput laut pada penelitian
ini. Jenis yang paling sesuai di setiap stasiun, stasiun 1 Gelidium sp., stasiun 2
Gracilariasp., stasiun 3 Sargassumsp., stasiun 4 Turbinaria ornata.

2012. Inventaritation of Macro Algae Types and Cover in Santolo Coast
Pameungpeuk District Garut Regency.
The research have been done at August 2011. The purpose of this research
was to determine the types of seaweed in Santolo Coast as well as coverage of the
seaweed. Data has been collected using the square transect method with four
research station. Station taking based on the depth at each station, which is St. 1;
30 10cm, St. 2; 50 10cm, St.3; 80 10cm, St. 4; 100 10cm and repeated as
many as four times, the distance between repitition with another one is 200
meters. Calculation formula of coverage using Saito and Atobe (1970). The result
are 13 species of seaweed were found, namely Boegesenia forbesii, Caulerpa
racemosa, Gelidium sp., Gracilaria sp., Hydroclahtrus clatratus, Hormophysa
triquetra, Padina australis, Sargassum sp., Turbinaria Ornata, Ulva fasciata,
Ulva flexousa, Ulva reticulata, Ulvasp. The amount of coverage found at station
1was 8,09%, at station 2 was 8,63%, at station 3 was 11,06%, at station 4 was
13,31%. From the value of absolute coverage and important value indeks can be
known seaweed live sustainable in the study. The most appropriate spesies at each
station were, station 1: Gelidium sp., station 2: Gracilaria sp., station 3:
Sargassumsp., and station 4: Turbinaria ornata.
