MULTI-USER SCIENCE RESEARCH LABORATORY (MUSRL) IS SITUATED AT THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY. AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY ZARIA.

DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETER (DSC)

One of the latest addition to the Lab is the DSC. It is used todetermine the temperature and heat of transformation in both liquidand solid materials: measures physical properties like compatibility,purity, crystallization, heat capacity and evaporation. It also assessesstability and the kinetic profile of materials and is useful for food ,pharmaceutical and material sciences.

turbidity, salinity, suspended solids and other physicochemical

parameters In water; viz. chlorine (DPD method), Hardness, iron,
