Anthony Fusaro, Alex LaRuffa, and Dante Colpus created their own models out of clay and using the stop-motion animation techniques they learned, created this short video involving a boat, some naughty snowmen and an evil dragon. The specifications for the control room equipment and furniture layout were finalized last week and the process of turning our Promaster into a finished and working Mobile Production Unit is now underway! Produced by Barbara Kanellopoulos (See Programming Spotlight) Choraliers: Spring Sing Produced by Marilyn Rowland The Choraliers, Cape Cod Conservatory's 18-person female vocal ensemble, directed by Elaine Burkly, perform works by Berlin, Mozart, Althouse, Sondheim and others. Featuring vocal soloists Maureen Costa, Sue Seri, Maureen Trodden, Catherine Weimer, Joyce Gindra, Mary Ann Smith, Susan Laite on Clarinet, and Catherine Klinger on Cello. Youth Producers - Giving Back: People For Cats Produced by FCTV’s Youth Producers Club FCTV’s Youth Producers have produced a short public service announcement drawing attention to the plight and problem of homeless cats and kittens. The PSA features Susan Williamson and Sally Heimerdinger from Falmouth’s People for Cats. This program was submitted to the White House Film Festival, open to U.S. students grades K-12. The theme of this year’s festival is “Giving Back.” Youth View Produced by FCTV’s Youth Producers Club In February’s edition, Host Raymond and his guests Alex and Donte talk about movies, February vacation and all those snow days! Falmouth Water Stewards Produced by Jill Holdren and Falmouth Water Stewards F.A.C.E.S. (Falmouth Association Concerned with Estuaries and Saltponds) has changed their name to Falmouth Water Stewards and expanded their mission. They’ve just produced a new public service announcement at FCTV to announce these recent changes and promote their cause. The PSA features many members of their group in various scenic locations around Falmouth. The Spinning Top: Reflexions on the Universe Produced by Marilyn Rowland The video production of Eugenie Kuffler’s most recent performance art concert at the Woods Hole Community Hall from this past August. The program also includes juggling from Allen Moniz and recitations by Dennis Schmidt.

Conversations with Barbara is now a bi-weekly program, hosted by Barbara Kanellopoulos at the FCTV Studio. Barbara’s guest this week is Diane Pratt, Executive Director of the Cape Cod Center for Women. The Cape Cod Center for Women in Massachusetts is the only 24-hour, 7-day-a-week confidential domestic violence emergency shelter. Diane talks with Barbara about the cycle of domestic violence and the services provided by the Center.

In the latest FCTV Exclusive report, Rhiannon D'Angelo, Senior Media Specialist with Eversource Energy, tells us all about the Good Neighbor Energy Fund, created to help those in financial need

afford the cost of their heating bills. A cooperative effort between Massachusetts energy companies, The Salvation Army and caring neighbors throughout the Bay State, the Good Neighbor Energy Fund has raised over 19.3 million and assisted more than 83,500 households with a month’s energy expense since its inception in 1985.

ORIENTATION This one-hour class is offered each month to all new members and open to the public. It is mandatory for anyone wanting to take other training or use FCTV facilities. Prerequisite: None Thursday: March 5, 6:00-7:00 pm Open to the public and newcomers welcome! CROWDFUNDING* This one-session seminar will walk participants through creating an engaging crowdfunding campaign. This class will cover setting up an account, producing a pitch video, deciding on incentives and promoting the campaign via social media. Prerequisite: None *Fee: $30 FCTV members, $60 non-members Monday: March 2, 4:00 - 6:00 pm ADVANCED FIELD PRODUCTION This two-session course instructs participants in the use of FCTV’s HD Roadcase for on-location multi-camera productions. Fridays: March 6, 13, 3:00 - 5:00 pm iREPORT* This one-session course instructs participants how to be “citizen journalists” with inexpensive pocket cameras, tablets and cell phones, including how to upload those videos online. Prerequisite: Orientation and Membership Monday: March 9, 5:00 - 7:00 pm ADOBE PREMIERE - Advanced Editing This In this one-session course, participants learn advanced editing and effects tools included with Adobe Premiere. Prerequisite: Intro to Video Editing Thursday: March 12, 7:00 - 9:00 pm GOOGLE for NONPROFITS* In this one-session seminar, participants will learn how FCTV has integrated Google for Nonprofits into its daily work-flow by using Google Drive, Google Hangout, Google Calendar, YouTube, etc. Participants will also receive recommendations on how their nonprofit can apply for a Google Grant. Prerequisite: None *Fee: $15 FCTV members, $30 non-members Thursday, March 19, 6:00 - 8:00 pm STORYBOARDING & SCRIPTWRITING* In this two-session workshop, storyboarding is introduced as an important step in planning an animated or live-action production. Participants learn to use a scanner and Photoshop to create an animatic for a proposed video project. Prerequisite: None *Fee: $30 non-members Thursdays: March 19, 20, 7:00 - 9:00 pm TELEPROMPTER 101 This one-session seminar teaches participants how to make the most effective use of FCTV’s teleprompters. Prerequisite: Intro to Studio or Field Production Monday: March 23, 6:00 - 8:00 pm INTRO to PHOTOSHOP This one-session seminar demonstrates how to use Photoshop to edit photos and create graphics for TV shows, animation projects, and the web. Prerequisite: None *Fee: $30 non-members Wednesday: March 25, 7:00 - 9:00 pm CAROUSEL COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD The ins and outs of Apple’s new easy-to-use edition of Final Cut are discussed in this one-session seminar. Participants are encouraged to bring in their own footage to start editing in class. Prerequisite: Orientation and Membership Sunday: March 29, 4:00 - 6:00 pm INTRO to ANIMATION* This one-session class introduces participants to several animation techniques including 2D traditional animation, stop motion and computer animation, as well as mixed techniques. Multiple films are screened in order to showcases each animation technique and to give participants a better idea of what animation courses to pursue in the future. Prerequisite: Intro to Animation *Fee: $25.00 FCTV members, $50.00 non-members. Tuesday: March 31, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Behind the Badge - Chaplain/New Recruits FCTV Government Channel 15 presents two new episodes of Chief Edward Dunne’s regular talk show from FCTV’s Studio A. In one episode, Chief Dunne is joined by new Police Champlain Rebecca Mincieli for a discussion about her unique role in the force. In the other new episode, Chief Dunne introduces viewers to four new recruits who have just graduated the academy to join Falmouth’s finest. Inside Barnstable County with Julia Taylor – County Update Delegate Julia Taylor of the Assembly of Delegates in Barnstable County visits FCTV studios with County Commissioner Mary Pat Flynn. Together, they give us an update on Barnstable County government and other items the Assembly has been acting upon. Falmouth Hoarding Task Force Public Forum Presented by the Falmouth Human Services Department, this forum will explore the impact of media and stigma on those needing help, the latest developments in research and development of recovery tools, the effectiveness of peer to peer support groups, interventions that work and those that don’t, as well as stories of success and hope.
