End-User License Agreement

ADOBE SYSTEMS INCORPORATED – COLOR PROFILE LICENSE AGREE-MENT

NOTE: PLEASE READ THIS CONTRACT CAREFULLY. BY USING ALL OR ANY PORTION OF THE SOFTWARE YOU ACCEPT ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE.

1. DEFINITIONS

In this Agreement, “Adobe” means Adobe Systems Incorporated, a Delaware corporation, located at 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, California 95110. “Software” means the software and related items with which this Agreement is provided.

2. LICENSE

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Adobe hereby grants you the worldwide, non-exclusive, nontransferable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce and publicly display the Software. Adobe also grants you the rights to distribute the Software only (a) as embedded within digital image files and (b) on a standalone basis. No other distribution of the Software is allowed; including, without limitation, distribution of the Software when incorporated into or bundled with any application software. All indi-vidual profiles must be referenced by their ICC Profile description string. You may not modify the Soft-ware. Adobe is under no obligation to provide any support under this Agreement, including upgrades or future versions of the Software or other items. No title to the intellectual property in the Software is transferred to you under the terms of this Agreement. You do not acquire any rights to the Software except as expressly set forth in this Agreement.

3. DISTRIBUTION

If you choose to distribute the Software, you do so with the understanding that you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Adobe against any losses, damages or costs arising from any claims, lawsuits or other legal actions arising out of such distribution, including without limitation, your failure to comply with this Section 3. If you distribute the Software on a standalone basis, you will do so under the terms of this Agreement or your own license agreement which (a) complies with the terms and conditions of this Agreement; (b) effectively disclaims all warranties and conditions, express or implied, on behalf of Adobe; (c) effectively excludes all liability for damages on behalf of Adobe; (d) states that any provisions that differ from this Agreement are offered by you alone and not Adobe and (e) states that the Software is available from you or Adobe and informs licensees how to obtain it in a reasonable manner on or through a medium customarily used for software exchange. Any distributed Software will include the Adobe copyright notices as included in the Software provided to you by Adobe.

4. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

Adobe licenses the Software to you on an “AS IS” basis. Adobe makes no representation as to the adequacy of the Software for any particular purpose or to produce any particular result. Adobe shall not be liable for loss or damage arising out of this Agreement or from the distribution or use of the Soft-ware or any other materials. ADOBE AND ITS SUPPLIERS DO NOT AND CANNOT WARRANT THE PERFORMANCE OR RESULTS YOU MAY OBTAIN BY USING THE SOFTWARE, EXCEPT FOR ANY WARRANTY, CONDITION, REPRESENTATION OR TERM TO THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE SAME CANNOT OR MAY NOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED BY LAW APPLICABLE TO YOU IN YOUR JURISDICTION, ADOBE AND ITS SUPPLIERS MAKE NO WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS OR TERMS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHETHER BY STATUTE, COMMON LAW, CUSTOM, USAGE OR OTHERWISE AS TO ANY OTHER MATTERS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, INTEGRATION, SATISFACTORY QUALITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION. The provisions of Sections 4, 5 and 6 shall survive the termination of this Agreement, howsoever caused, but this shall not imply or create any continued right to use the Software after termination of this Agreement.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT WILL ADOBE OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES, CLAIMS OR COSTS WHATSOEVER OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, OR ANY LOST PROFITS OR LOST SAVINGS, EVEN IF AN ADOBE REPRESENTA-TIVE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS, DAMAGES, CLAIMS OR COSTS OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY THIRD PARTY. THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS APPLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW IN YOUR JURISDIC-TION. ADOBE'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY AND THAT OF ITS SUPPLIERS UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE. Nothing contained in this Agreement limits Adobe's liability to you in the event of death or personal injury resulting from Adobe's negligence or for the tort of deceit (fraud). Adobe is acting on behalf of its suppliers for the purpose of disclaiming, excluding and/or limiting obligations, warranties and liability as provided in this Agreement, but in no other respects and for no other purpose.

6. TRADEMARKS

Adobe and the Adobe logo are the registered trademarks or trademarks of Adobe in the United States and other countries. With the exception of referential use, you will not use such trademarks or any other Adobe trademark or logo without separate prior written permission granted by Adobe.

7. TERM

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Adobe has the right to terminate this Agreement imme-diately if you fail to comply with any term hereof. Upon any such termination, you must return to Adobe all full and partial copies of the Software in your possession or control.

8. GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS

If any part of the Software is identified as an export controlled item under the United States Export Administration Act or any other export law, restriction or regulation (the “Export Laws”), you represent and warrant that you are not a citizen, or otherwise located within, an embargoed nation (including without limitation Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Cuba, North Korea, and Serbia) and that you are not otherwise prohibited under the Export Laws from receiving the Software. All rights to use the Software are granted on condition that such rights are forfeited if you fail to comply with the terms of this Agree-ment.

9. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws in force in the State of California as such laws are applied to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within California between California residents. This Agreement will not be governed by the conflict of law rules of any jurisdiction or the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the Interna-tional Sale of Goods, the application of which is expressly excluded. All disputes arising out of, under or related to this Agreement will be brought exclusively in the state Santa Clara County, California, USA.

10. GENERAL

You may not assign your rights or obligations granted under this Agreement without the prior written consent of Adobe. None of the provisions of this Agreement shall be deemed to have been waived by any act or acquiescence on the part of Adobe, its agents, or employees, but only by an instrument in writing signed by an authorized signatory of Adobe. When conflicting language exists between this Agreement and any other agreement included in the Software, the terms of such included agreement shall apply. If either you or Adobe employs attorneys to enforce any rights arising out of or relating to this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys’ fees. You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement, understand it, and that it is the complete and exclu-sive statement of your agreement with Adobe which supersedes any prior agreement, oral or written, between Adobe and you with respect to the licensing to you of the Software. No variation of the terms of this Agreement will be enforceable against Adobe unless Adobe gives its express consent, in writing, signed by an authorized signatory of Adobe.

ABOUT ECI PROFILES

Terms of Use

The ICC profiles used in the Altona Test Suite Application Kit were created on the basis of the Char-acterisation Data (11.2) with the profile software “Print Open” of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. The following license conditions must be observed for the use of the profiles. License terms („LICENSE“) for the use of HEIDELBERG ICC profiles with profile properties as defined in this license.

1 Definition

1.1 For generic ICC profiles for the profiling of standard printing conditions which have been produced with software of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG („HEIDELBERG“) („PROFILES“), HEIDELBERG agrees to a free distribution and use of the PROFILES, on condition that the distributor and/or user („LICENSEE“) agrees to the following terms.1.2 Standard printing conditions within the meaning of this LICENSE are standards defined by inter-national or national standardisation bodies such as ISO 12647 and the respective parts thereof or are a de facto standards in certain regions of the world.

2 Scope of the Right of Use

2.1 HEIDELBERG grants the LICENSEE a non-exclusive right to use the PROFILES.2.2 The LICENSEE is allowed to redistribute the PROFILES and to transfer this Right of Use to a third party on condition that these PROFILES are always distributed together with this LICENSE and that the third party accepts that the license transferred by the LICENSEE is subject to the terms of this LICENSE. The PROFILES may be redistributed also bundled together with other software.

3 Exclusion of other Use

3.1 It is explicitly prohibited to charge any kind of remuneration for the distribution of these PROFILES.3.2 It is not allowed to edit these PROFILES or to change the entries in the profile tags or to use the inherent technical solutions for any purpose other than the actual purpose of an ICC profile. If the PROFILES will be sold bundled together with commercial software, then it is not allowed to charge an extra price for the PROFILES.

4 Warranty and Liability

4.1 The PROFILES are provided “as is” free of charge and devoid of all claims against HEIDELBERG or the distributor of these PROFILES.4.2 This LICENSE excludes all liability, including the liability for damages.

5 Copyright

The copyright on the PROFILES remains with HEIDELBERG.

6 General Terms

6.1 The Right of Use as described in point 2.1 is void with immediate effect upon violation of this LICENSE.6.2 This LICENSE applies explicitly to generic profiles only for the profiling of printing standards, as specified in point 1. This LICENSE expressly does not apply to profiles produced with HEIDELBERG software which profile the properties of a specific device. Heidelberg, September 2003

1 Introduction

About AccurioPro Cloud EyeAccurioPro Cloud Eye is a web-based printer validation and profiling application with powerful reporting and trend analysis tools. The easy-to-use application enables anyone, not just color experts, to keep their printers producing outstanding consistent color output.

▪ Print Quality Monitoring

The cloud database securely maintains records of all printer validation measurements, including those performed automatically using Intelligent Quality Optimizer, the inline spectrophotometer of Konica Minolta printing systems.Measurement jobs can be easily tracked and analyzed from anywhere in the world. A wide range of report and analysis tools help you monitor color quality and clearly show trends that can affect color.

▪ Printer Validation

AccurioPro Cloud Eye allows you to easily verify whether your printer is out of tolerance. This is done by measuring a color bar against a common industry standard such as GRACoL or Fogra. An instant pass/fail indication clearly shows whether the color profiles need to be regenerated.You can also check for compliance with IDEAlliance G7 specifications.

▪ Printer Profiling

AccurioPro Cloud Eye allows you to create device link profiles and ICC output profiles and to easily regenerate these profiles if the printer is out of tolerance.A printer can be matched to any target color space defined by an ICC profile using an iterative process which produces very accurate results with low delta E values.

▪ Setup and Administration

The AccurioPro Cloud Eye application has built-in functions for configuring printer validation and profiling processes. These tools are accessible to any user with Administrator or Color Expert privileges.

Requirements

▪ Computer with Internet Access

AccurioPro Cloud Eye interacts with a web server which performs all calculations such as printer validation and profiling. The user inter-face is provided by an application (AccurioPro Cloud Eye app) which must be installed on the client computer.The AccurioPro Cloud Eye app is available for Windows computers only.Print quality monitoring, setup and management functions can also be performed without this client application. In this case you can use any web browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer. Make sure to update your browser to the latest version.

▪ Hibernation or Sleep Mode Disabled

Make sure the Hibernation, Stand by or Sleep mode of your computer is switched off. Otherwise your AccurioPro Cloud Eye session would time out after a while and you would be logged out automatically.

▪ License for Creating Trackings

Purchase licenses for creating a particular number of Trackings.A Tracking defines the printer profiling and validation settings for a partic-ular combination of printer and target printing conditions. Each Tracking allows users to generate any number of device link and ICC output profiles according to the definitions in the Tracking and to validate the printer as often as required.

▪ Measurement Device

You need a spectrophotometer if you want to make measurements for validating printers or creating profiles.

Connect the device to your computer and install it according to the manu-facturer’s instructions supplied with the device. You may have to install a device driver. Usually drivers can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website or are available on a CD or DVD supplied with the device.

Logging inLog in to the AccurioPro Cloud Eye Windows app or the browser appli-cation using your user name and password. The full functionality is only available with the Windows app.

If you are a new user, you must first activate your user account. Otherwise it will not be possible to log in. Please refer to the email message you have received from AccurioPro Cloud Eye. It indicates your user name and pass-word. Click the URL hyperlink to activate your user account.

▪ Browser Login

Use the web browser application if you only want to monitor print quality, perform setup and management functions, or download the AccurioPro Cloud Eye Windows app.

1. Open any up-to-date web browser.

2. Enter cloudeye.konicaminolta.com into the address line.

3. Select your language.

4. Enter your user name and password.

5. Click the Login button.

▪ App Login

Use the Windows app if you require the full AccurioPro Cloud Eye functionality including printer validation and profiling functions. The app needs to be downloaded and installed on the client computer.

1. From the Windows menu , select Konica Minolta > AccurioPro Cloud Eye.

The AccurioPro Cloud Eye app appears.

2. If a new version is available on the server, the application will update itself automatically.

If this is your first login, you are prompted to change your password. Make sure to enter the same password into both input boxes, then click Change password and Close.Having logged in, the Dashboard tab appears automatically (unless you are a user of a sales company).

Installing Cloud Eye AppDownload and install the self-updating AccurioPro Cloud Eye app if you need the full functionality including printer validation and profiling.

1. Open a web browser and log in to AccurioPro Cloud Eye.

2. Click to open the Settings menu.

3. Select the Download App item.

4. Agree to the End User License Agreement.

5. Save the setup.exe file to your Windows file system.

6. Double-click this file to install and launch the app.

After this procedure you can always restart AccurioPro Cloud Eye by selecting Konica Minolta > AccurioPro Cloud Eye from the Windows menu .If a new AccurioPro Cloud Eye version is available on the server, it will be downloaded and installed automatically.

To use a Target Profile created or imported by your company, select it from the Target Profile > Custom drop-down list. 6. Click OK.

7. Confirm that the new Target Configuration is shown in the list.

If Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer is enabled, you are reminded to set up the printer controller (IC-6XX or CREO only).

7. Confirm that the new Tracking is shown in the list.

1. Set up the printer controller on the printer’s control panel.

Refer to the printer’s User Manual for more details.

2. Start the validation measurement at the printer controller.


4. If result is , the printer needs to be reprofiled.

Printer ProfilingIf validation status is or printer is new, create new device link profiles.

1. After starting Profiling wizard, proceed as explained in Generating Profiles.

2. To check the quality of the new profiles, click Validate button at end of profiling process.

3 Print Quality Monitoring

All validation measurement jobs can be easily tracked and analyzed from anywhere in the world. A wide range of report and analysis tools help you monitor color quality and clearly show trends that can affect color.

List of Trackings for a PrinterThe Tracking list is what is usually displayed immediately after logging in to AccurioPro Cloud Eye. Select a printer to see a list of its Trackings and the result of the latest validation measurement.A Tracking defines the settings to be used for validating and profiling a particular printer. Each Tracking can be used for validating this printer as often as you like and for creating any number of device link or ICC output profiles.

1. Click the Dashboard tab at the top left.

2. Click the company name on the left to expand the list of company branches.

NOTE: Users with Operator privileges can only see Trackings of their own company. Administrators and Color Experts can also see Track-ings of other companies, i.e. shared Trackings and Trackings that use a shared Target Configuration created by their own company.

3. Click on the branch name to expand the list of all printers defined for this company branch.

4. Click on the printer name.

The list of all Trackings defined for this printer appears on the right. This includes Trackings set up for automatic printer validation using Intelligent Quality Optimizer.

The first column summarizes the latest validation result: pass or fail .

▪ Deleting Measurements

Users with Administrator or Color Expert privileges can delete measurement jobs created by their own company. Operators are not allowed to delete any jobs.

1. On the Jobs tab, select the measurement jobs to be deleted.

Click anywhere on a list row to select a single list item. Enable the check boxes on the left to select multiple items.

▪ Navigating Lists

In a large list consisting of several screen pages, you can easily navi-gate to a particular range of data records.Use the navigation elements underneath the list:

▪ Filtering Lists

Lists can be narrowed down to quickly find data records with a partic-ular property.

Use the elements above the list, at the top right of the window:

1. Change the list item All Tags to the name of the column to be filtered.

2. Enter the search term (full or partial name).

3. Select a filter operator if required. Default is contains.

Otherwise press Return or click anywhere outside the input box.

4. To reset the filter, select All Tags or clear the input box.

Analyzing Color TrendsYou can view details on the selected job and all other validation measurements made with the same Tracking. The measurement results are displayed on a timeline which clearly shows color trends and quality variations over time.

▪ Opening Trendlines

1. Do one of the following:

• On the Dashboard tab, select the printer, then click on the Target Configuration used for validating it.

• On the Jobs tab, click on any measurement made for your combination of printer and Target Configuration.

How to select measurement jobs on a trendline, view summary infor-mation and closely inspect numeric values such as average delta E.

1. If the point which you want to check is difficult to see, change the height of the vertical axis.

2. If too many jobs are displayed, select a shorter time span from the list, e.g. 1 week.

Now only jobs measured within the selected period of time are displayed.

3. If required, use the scrollbar to move the time axis until your job is visible.

4. If the validation was made against G7 specifications, click the G7 NPDC button to see specific trendlines for evaluating G7 compliance (wdL, wdCh).

Click the Basic button to switch back to the general trendlines.

5. Use the check boxes at the right if you want to hide curves which you are not interested in.

This allows you to see the other curves more clearly.

6. Hover over a curve point to see the exact numeric value.

The value appears in a small window along with the measurement date and ID.

7. Select a job by clicking on any of its curve points.

Now the summary at the top displays details about the selected job.

Analyzing Single MeasurementsEach measurement shown on a trendline can be analyzed in full detail. The color deviations and other important data can be presented both numerically and graphically in a variety of ways.

1. Open a trendline for the printer and Target Configuration.

2. Select a measurement job on the trendline.

3. Proceed as explained below.

▪ G7 Graphs

Select the G7 tab to see the tonality, gray balance and neutral print density curves for the G7 calibration method.This tab is only available for measurements made against one of the IDEAl-liance G7 calibration standards. This means that a Target Configuration was used which is set up with G7 standard tolerances, a suitable validation wedge and a suitable target profile.

NOTE: Hover over the charts to see the numeric values plotted on the y-axis for the tonal value selected on the x-axis.

Select the List view tab to see a list of all color patches.The following properties are indicated for every patch: CMYK reference values, actual and target Lab values, Lab color deviations and average delta E.

Click the column header to sort the list from lowest to highest value (e.g. dE). Reclick to reverse sorting order.The icon indicates the column defining the current sorting order.

ReportsAccurioPro Cloud Eye can create a report for any validation measure-ment.

2. Click on the measurement to be used for the report.

On the Dashboard tab, you can only select the latest measurement made for each combination of printer and Target Configuration.

4. In large reports, use the buttons to navigate between the pages.

4 Printer Validation

To check whether a printer is out of tolerance, download and print a color bar, then measure it against the specifications defined in the Target Configuration. An instant pass/fail indication clearly shows whether the color profiles need to be regenerated. Each validation measurement is stored in the database and can be used for creating reports and analyzing color trends.

If you are working with a web browser, this functionality is not supported in most cases. Please download and install the Cloud Eye Windows applica-tion.

Starting Validation FunctionUse the Tracking list to start the function which checks whether your printer needs to be reprofiled.A Tracking defines the settings to be used for validating and profiling a particular printer. Each Tracking can be used for validating this printer as often as you like and for creating any number of device link or ICC output profiles.

You cannot use Trackings with a Target Configuration set up for automatic measurement with an inline spectrophotometer for Konica Minolta printing systems (Intelligent Quality Optimizer) equipped with an IC-6XX or CREO printer controller. In this case printer validation can only be started at the printer controller (DFE).Printer validation is not supported if you are working with a web browser (except when using Intelligent Quality Optimizer and a Fiery controller). Please download and install the Cloud Eye Windows application.

1. Click the Dashboard tab at the top left.

2. From the list of companies and branches on the left, select the printer to be validated.

3. From the list on the right, select the Tracking with the Target Configu-ration to be used for validation.

The Target Configuration defines the target values, tolerances, measurement device and other validation settings.

4. Click the Validation button.

5. The next steps depend on the type of measurement device defined in the Target Configuration.

• External USB-connected deviceProceed as described under Validating with Cloud Eye.

• Intelligent Quality Optimizer used with CREO or IC-6XX printer controllerA warning appears. Start the validation process at the printer controller.

• Intelligent Quality Optimizer used with Fiery printer controllerThe Validation dialog appears. Select the Paper Tray and Output Tray, then click the Validate button.

This starts the validation process at the printer controller. The test chart will be measured automatically using the printer’s inline spectrophotometer.Please wait while AccurioPro Cloud Eye indicates in the Comment/Status column that the process is still running. When finished, the message Completed appears and the measure-ment result is automatically transmitted to Cloud Eye.

Validating with Cloud EyeDownload, print and measure a color bar, then upload the result to the web server. A clear pass/fail indication will show whether or not repro-filing is required.

1. Optional: Select a measurement device and measurement conditions if you do not want to use the default settings defined in the Target Configuration.

NOTE: It is usually advisable to perform the printer validation and printer profiling process using the same measurement conditions (M0, M1, M2, or M3).

2. Optional: Click the Download target profile button to download the ICC Target Profile defined in the Target Configuration.

The name of this profile is indicated in the Target Configuration Information area. Install this profile on your RIP or DFE before printing the validation wedge.

3. Click the Download validation wedge button if you want to download the color bar defined in the Target Configuration used for this valida-tion process.

The name of this color bar is indicated on the right under Target Configuration Information.

4. Print this file by sending it to the input queue of your RIP or digital front-end.

NOTE: Make sure the input queue is set up to apply the color conver-sion, i.e. turn color management ON.

5. Click the Measure button on the left. A dialog appears.

6. Place the measurement device on its base if requested to do so.

7. Click the Start button. A white calibration is performed automatically, depending on the measurement device.

8. Measure the color strips according to the instructions displayed on the screen. Use white backing.

The color bar with the target color values is shown on the screen. The rows with the actual values appear as you measure.



Rest the cursor on a color patch to see the target Lab values (top), actual Lab values and solid densities (middle) and the dE color devi-ation (bottom). The color with the largest deviation is underlined in red.

9. Click Continue when all strips are measured.

A large pass/fail icon indicates the overall validation result: or . Details on the color deviation values such as Ø dE and max. dE are listed on the right.

10. Optional: Click the Measure again button if you want to repeat the measuring process. This is required in case of measuring errors, for example. Proceed as explained above.

11. Optional: Enter a text into the Comment box.

This information will be shown in the list of validation measurements (Jobs tab) and in the list of Trackings (Dashboard tab).

12. Click the Upload button to send the measurement results to the data-base of the AccurioPro Cloud Eye web server. A job ID is created automatically.

The measurement will be available in the Tracking list and job list. It can be used for creating reports and analyzing color trends.An email message with the measurement results is sent to the user who performed the measurement and to all users with Color Expert privileges.

13. Optional: If the printer validation has failed , click the Profiling button to regenerate the device link profiles or ICC output profile.

5 Printer Profiling

AccurioPro Cloud Eye allows you to create device link profiles and ICC output profiles which match printers to the conditions defined by a Target Configuration. The profiles can be easily regenerated when the printer is out of tolerance (validation result: ). A profiling process can be suspended at any time and later resumed from the point where it was stopped.

Printer profiling is not supported if you are working with a web browser. Please download and install the Cloud Eye Windows application.

Starting Profiling FunctionTo start creating device link or ICC output profiles, open the Tracking list, select the Target Configuration, click Validation and then Profiling.

Make sure you are using the Cloud Eye Windows application. Printer profiling is not supported if you are working with a web browser.

1. Click the Dashboard tab on the top left.

2. Select your printer from the list of companies and company branches.

3. From the list of Trackings, select the Target Configuration that defines the profiling settings (target profile, measurement device, etc.).

4. Click the Validation button.

5. Optional: Perform a printer validation process if you want to check whether new profiles are really required. This step is usually not required for new printers.

6. Click the Profiling button at the bottom left.

Generating ProfilesDownload the profiling test chart, print it via your RIP or DFE and measure the colors. This process can be repeated several times in order to progressively optimize the color match. Then create and download the device link profiles or ICC output profile.

1. Optional: Select a measurement device, measurement conditions and profiling test chart if you do not want to use the default settings defined in the Target Configuration.

NOTE: It is usually advisable to perform the printer validation and printer profiling process using the same measurement conditions (M0, M1, M2, or M3).



2. Click the Download profiling chart button.

This saves the file selected in the Profiling Chart list to your computer’s file system.


NOTE: Make sure the input queue is set up to bypass any color conversion, i.e. turn color management OFF.


5. Measure the test chart. Use white backing.

1. Affix the test chart to the XY table.2. Click the Start measurement button and follow the instructions

on the screen.3. Manually measure three corner patches to tell the XY table

where the test chart is located. The position of these patches is indicated on the screen.The measuring process starts automatically after the last corner patch has been measured. The measuring progress is indicated by a change in lightness of the color patches displayed on the screen.

4. Measure additional test chart pages in the same way if requested to do so.

5. Having measured all patches, click the Next button to close the dialog.The measurement results are automatically uploaded to the web server. The color deviations (dE) are indicated under Accuracy on the right.

6. Optimize the color match:

NOTE: This is only possible if the Use profile with ColorCentro option is disabled in the Target Configuration.

1. Reclick the Download profiling chart button.The color match will be recalculated and applied to the test chart. Save the test chart to your local file system.

2. Print and measure the test chart again as explained above.A second line under Accuracy appears to indicate the reduced color deviations.

7. Optional: For stable printers with only small color drifts, you can try to further reduce the color deviations.

To do so, perform a few additional cycles of downloading, printing and measuring the test chart (repeat step 5).

8. Click the Calculate profiles button.

9. Download the profiles by clicking the ↓ CMYK Device Link, ↓ RGB Device Link and ↓ ICC Profile buttons.

10. Install the profiles on your DFE. Change your RIP settings such that these profiles are used for color matching.



NOTE: The Device Link profiles match the printer to the target printing conditions. The ICC Profile characterizes the printer only and needs to be used together with a target ICC profile.

11. Optional: Click the Validate button at the bottom if you want to test the quality of the new profiles. This starts the printer validation function.

Deleting MeasurementsDeleting a test chart measurement is required if your device produces erroneous measurement results, for example, or if the color devia-tions have remained the same or even increased. This is likely to occur after several print/measure iterations.

• Click the button at the top right.

The last measurement will be removed from the list.

PRINTER PROFILINGSUSPENDING PROFILING PROCESS


Suspending Profiling ProcessA profiling process can be interrupted at any time. It can later be resumed from the point where it was stopped. All your settings and measurements will be reloaded.Profiling cannot be suspended if the Use profile with ColorCentro option is enabled in the Target Configuration.

1. Optional: Enter some text into the Comment box, for example, the reason for interrupting or details on how to continue.

This comment will be shown on the Suspended Jobs tab and when profiling is resumed.

2. Click the Suspend button at the bottom.

▪ Resuming Suspended Profiling Processes

A suspended profiling job can be selected from a list and continued from the point where it was interrupted. All your settings and measure-ments will be reloaded.

1. Click the Suspended Jobs button at the top left.

The list of suspended profiling jobs appears.You can sort the list alphabetically by clicking on a column header.

2. Select the profiling job to be resumed.

3. Click the Resume Profiling button to start the printer profiling func-tion.

Now continue with the profiling process.

NOTE: You can only see your own profiling jobs. Jobs suspended by other users are not listed. The list also contains profiling processes which termi-nated abnormally, e.g. owing to an application error or power failure.

Deleting Suspended Jobs

Users with Administrator or Color Expert privileges can delete suspended profiling jobs of their own company. Operators are not allowed to delete any jobs.

1. Click the Suspended Jobs tab.

2. Select the jobs to be deleted.

Downloading Same Profiles AgainYou can download the same device link profiles or ICC output profile again as often as you like without having to regenerate them. Select the same Tracking as before, start the profiling function and click the respective Download buttons.

1. Click the Dashboard button at the top left.

2. Select your printer from the list of companies and company branches.

3. Select the Tracking used previously for generating the profiles.

4. Click the Validation button. A new browser window or tab opens.

5. Click the Profiling button at the bottom left.

6. Download the profiles by clicking the buttons on the bottom left:

• ↓ CMYK Device Link,

• ↓ RGB Device Link

• ↓ ICC Profile

6 Setup and Management Func-tions

AccurioPro Cloud Eye provides various setup and management func-tions such as creating, editing and deleting Target Configurations, Printers, Trackings, Company Links and user accounts. These func-tions are accessible from the Settings menu. Click the button in the main window to open this menu.NOTE: These operations are reserved for users with Administrator or Color Expert privileges. Operators are only allowed to use the Edit User and Download App functions.

▪ Opening Target Configuration List

The list of Target Configurations provides functions for creating, editing, duplicating, deleting and sharing Target Configurations. Shared Target Configurations created by other companies are also listed.

▪ Creating, Editing and Duplicating Target Configurations

To create, edit, duplicate, or rename Target Configurations, open the Target Configuration list and use the buttons at the top right.

NOTE: A Target Configuration can only be edited or duplicated by its owner, i.e. the company which created it. Shared Target Configurations created by other companies cannot be edited or duplicated.



A Target Configuration cannot be edited if it is used in a Tracking that was activated on a Konica Minolta printing system (status Synchronized or Not synchronized).

1. Select > Target Configurations to open the Target Configuration list.


• To create a new Target Configuration, click the Create button.• To edit or rename a Target Configuration, select it and click the

Edit button.

• To duplicate a Target Configuration, select it and click the Copy button.

This opens the Create Target Configuration dialog. The dialog title varies according to the function being used.

3. Use the Target Configuration box to do one of the following:

• Enter a name for the new Target Configuration.

• Modify the name of the Target Configuration you have dupli-cated.

• Rename the Target Configuration you are editing.

Make sure to use a name that does not exist already.

4. Use the Validation Wedge option to select a color bar for the printer validation process.

5. Specify a Target Profile, i.e. a file which defines the target Lab values for the printer validation and profiling process.

Three types of profiles are available, each on a separate list:• Color Validation Targets created with Cloud Eye (for printer vali-

dation only)

• Custom profiles created or imported with Cloud Eye

• Default ICC profiles for standard printing conditions included in Cloud Eye

NOTE: The selected Target Profile cannot be changed if the Target Configuration is used in a Tracking.

6. Select the default measuring settings such as measuring device and method or profiling test chart.

Users can change these settings when performing a validation or profiling process.To measure with the inline spectrophotometer of a Konica Minolta printing system, select a device from the Instrument > Intelligent Quality Optimizer list.

7. Set the options for generating device link profiles. Refer to the Create Target Configuration Dialog section (page 114) for more details.



8. Set the tolerance and delta E options for printer validation. Refer to the Create Target Configuration Dialog section (page 114) for more details.

9. Click OK to close the dialog.

▪ Sharing Target Configurations

The Target Configuration list enables you to share Target Configura-tions with other companies. There must be a Company Link between these companies.



Sharing enables other companies to create Trackings that use your company’s Target Configurations. Other companies are then capable of performing the same printer validation and profiling processes for their own printers. Your company will be able to see the results of all validation measurements other companies make with your Target Configurations.

NOTE: A Target Configuration can only be shared by its owner, i.e. the company which created it. Shared Target Configurations created by other companies cannot be shared.

1. Make sure you have created a Company Link to all companies that should be allowed to use the Target Configuration you are about to share.


3. Select the Target Configuration to be shared.

4. Click the Share button at the top. A dialog with two lists of linked companies appears.

• Left: Companies the selected Target Configuration is not yet shared with.

• Right: Companies the selected Target Configuration is shared with already.

5. Select companies on the left and click the [ > ] button. This moves the selected companies to the list on the right.

Click the [ < ] button if you want to move selected companies back to the list on the left.


In the list of Target Configurations, the icon appears to indicate that this Target Configuration has been shared.

▪ Deleting Target Configurations

The Target Configuration list allows you to delete selected Target Configurations.

NOTE: You cannot delete a Target Configuration that is used in a Tracking. The icon indicates this. Such Trackings must be deleted beforehand.A Target Configuration can only be deleted by its owner, i.e. the company which created or duplicated it. Shared Target Configurations created by other companies cannot be deleted.


2. Select the Target Configurations to be deleted.


3. Click the Delete button at the top.

4. Click OK to confirm your deletion request.

Managing PrintersYou can create and edit a list of all printers in your company. Each item includes the printer name and the company branch where the printer is located. It is also possible to import information from printers registered in the EFI Color Cloud.These operations are reserved for users with Administrator or Color Expert privileges.

For each branch of your company, you can open a list of all printers available in that branch. The list provides functions for creating, editing and deleting printers.


2. Select the Printers item.

3. Click a branch name on the left.

▪ Creating and Editing Printers

Open the Printers list, click Create and specify the settings. Or select a company branch from that list, select a printer, click Edit and change the settings.

This procedure cannot be used for printers equipped with an EFI Fiery controller. For such printers refer to Creating/Editing Printers Using EFI Cloud Service.

1. Select > Printers to open the Printers list.

2. To create a new printer, click the Create button.

3. To edit or rename a printer:

This opens the Create Printer dialog. The dialog title varies according to the function being used.

4. Specify the following:

• Company branch where the printer is located

• Printer name

5. For printers with an inline spectrophotometer:



Enable the Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer option if additional information should be automatically retrieved from the printer controller instead of being entered manually.All other options in this dialog will then be grayed out.

6. If the Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer is disabled, specify the following:

• Printer model

• Serial number


8. The new or modified printer appears in the list.

▪ Creating/Editing Printers Using EFI Cloud Service

Use the EFI Cloud Service dialog if a printer is equipped with an inline spectrophotometer and a Fiery controller. Select a printer registered in EFI Color Cloud, specify a name and assign the printer to a company branch. Additional printer information will be retrieved auto-matically from EFI Color Cloud.

For other printers refer to Creating and Editing Printers.

Prior to performing this task, the printer needs to be registered in EFI Color Cloud using the EFI Cloud Connector.


2. Click the EFI Cloud Service button.

3. Into the ID and Password boxes, enter your login credentials for EFI Color Cloud.

4. Click the Get Printer List button if no printers are listed.

5. Select the printers to be created, edited or renamed by clicking the checkboxes in the In use column.

6. Specify the following:

• Company branch where the printer is located

• Printer name

7. Optional: Specify the printer model.


9. The new or modified printers appear in the list.

The Printers list allows you to delete single printers.

If there is a icon, the printer is used in a Tracking and cannot be deleted until you delete that Tracking.

▪ Creating and Editing Trackings

Open the Tracking list and click Create, or select a Tracking in this list and click Edit, respectively. Then specify or change the settings.

Multiple Trackings with different Target Configurations are required if a printer needs to be matched to different printing conditions. To match different printers to the same target, create a Tracking with the same Target Configuration for each printer.You can only create Trackings if the number of purchased Trackings is greater than the number of Trackings you have used (i.e. created). Other-wise your company needs to purchase a license for additional Trackings. These numbers are indicated in the window header.

Creating Trackings for Manual Measurement

If validation or profiling measurement should be made manually via AccurioPro Cloud Eye, select a Target Configuration which is set up accordingly. Also select a printer.

• To create a new Tracking, click the Create button at the top.• To edit a Tracking, select it and click the Edit button.

3. Enter or modify the Tracking name.

4. Click on the Target Configuration list to open it.

5. Select a Target Configuration from the Intelligent Quality Optimizer is not available list at the bottom.

The Target Configuration defines the printer validation settings such as target ICC profile and measurement device.

Creating Trackings for Intelligent Quality Opti-mizer (IC-6XX, CREO)

If validation measurements should be made with the inline spectro-photometer of a Konica Minolta printing system equipped with a CREO or IC-6XX controller, select a Target Configuration which is set up accordingly. Also select a printer.

NOTE: Validation measurements made with such Trackings can only be started at the printer controller (DFE). The result will be displayed on Accu-rioPro Cloud Eye’s Dashboard.






5. Select a Target Configuration from the Intelligent Quality Optimizer is available list at the top.

Make sure the Target Configuration is set up for measuring with Intel-ligent Quality Optimizer (IC-6XX or CREO).

6. Make sure to leave the Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer option enabled.



• Printer


A message appears reminding you that the printer controller needs to be set up for automatic measurement with Intelligent Quality Opti-mizer.

9. Click OK.


When the Tracking is activated on the printer, the following information will be sent to AccurioPro Cloud Eye:

• Printer model• Printer serial number• Controller Type• Status

This information will appear automatically in the Create Tracking dialog. Reopen the dialog to see the changes.

▪ Sharing Trackings

The Tracking list enables you to share Trackings with other compa-nies. There must be a Company Link between these companies.Sharing a Tracking with another company enables this company to see the results of all validation measurements you made with the shared Tracking. Your jobs that use this Tracking will be visible on their Dashboard and Jobs tabs.

NOTE: Shared Trackings created by other companies cannot be used for printer validation or profiling.

1. Make sure you have created a Company Link to all companies that should be allowed to use the Tracking you are about to share.


3. Select the Tracking to be shared.

4. Click the Share button at the top. A dialog with two lists of linked companies appears.

• Left: Companies the selected Tracking is not yet shared with.• Right: Companies the selected Tracking is shared with already.

5. Select companies on the left and click the [ > ] button. This moves the selected companies to the list on the right.

Click the [ < ] button if you want to move selected companies back to the list on the left.


In the list of Tracking, the icon appears to indicate that this Tracking has been shared.

• Enter a comment for the new profile (optional).

6. Click the Download Chart button and save the test chart to your computer’s file system.

5. Having measured all patches, click the Next button to close the dialog.

To use ICC profiles stored on your computer’s file system, open the list of custom Target Profiles and click Import.

A message appears if a custom Target Profile with the same name exists already. Click OK if you want to overwrite the profile.

3. Enter a unique User ID.

This is the name used for logging in to AccurioPro Cloud Eye. The ID cannot be modified when a user account is edited.

4. Optional: Enter a password into the two input boxes. Make sure both inputs are identical.

When editing an existing user account, leave the input boxes blank if you do not want to change the password.When creating a new user account, leave the input boxes blank to have the application automatically generate a password. It will be sent to the email address specified below.

5. Enter the user’s email address into the two input boxes. Make sure both inputs are identical.



6. Select a user role: Administrator, Color Expert, or Operator.

The Guidance area shows the privileges assigned to each user role.

7. Enter the user’s full name.

8. Optional: You can also specify the following:

• Company branch where the user is working.

• Company division where the user is working.

• Language of email notification messages.

• Whether to receive reports for measurements made by other users working in the same company.


If you have created a new user account, the application will send a message to the specified email address. The message includes the User ID and password. The user needs to activate the new user account by clicking a link in the message.

▪ Creating Company Links

Linked companies can share Target Configurations and Trackings with each other. To create a link between two companies, either of these companies sends a link request via email and the other company accepts it. In the following procedure, company A sends a request to company B.

Steps for Company A

Send a link request to company B.

1. Select > Company Links to open the Company Link list.

2. Click the Request button. A dialog box opens.

3. Enter the email address of company B into the two input boxes.

4. Click OK.

AccurioPro Cloud Eye automatically generates a link key and sends an email message with this key to company B.A copy of this message is also sent to the user of company A who requested the Company Link (i.e. the logged-in user).

Steps for Company B

Accept company A’s link request.


2. Click the Accept button. A dialog box opens.

3. Open the email received from company A. It contains the link key.

4. Enter the company link key and click Next.Another dialog box opens. It shows the name and ID of company A.

5. Click the Accept button.



This establishes the company link. An email message is sent automat-ically to company A to inform them that the link has been accepted.

▪ Deleting Company Links

A Company Link can be deleted by either of the two linked companies.NOTE: Deleting a Company Link is only possible if there aren’t any Target Configurations or Trackings which are shared between the linked compa-nies. Each of the two companies needs to reverse the sharing of these Target Configurations or Trackings prior to deleting the company link.

• Create the first device link profiles for a new printer.In this case do not start the printer validation process, but imme-diately click the Profiling button in the follow-up dialog.

Suspended JobsClick this button to open the list of suspended profiling processes. You can then select a profiling job and continue the profiling process from the point where it was interrupted.All your settings and measurements will be reloaded.

History Click this button to open a timeline of all validation measurements made for the combination of printer and Target Configuration used in the selected measurement job. This job is also selected on the time-line by default.You can clearly see color trends, analyze quality deviations (delta E, dot gain, etc.) and inspect individual measurement in full detail.



Report Click this button to create a report for the selected validation measure-ment.A report presents important print data both graphically and numeri-cally. It can be downloaded in a variety of formats, including PDF and XLSX.

Click this button to delete selected measurement jobs.This function is only available for users with Administrator or Color Expert privileges. Operators are not allowed to delete any jobs. Jobs created by other companies cannot be deleted.Click anywhere on a list row to select a single list item. Enable the check boxes on the left to select multiple items.

This is the list of all printer validation measurements. The following details are shown for every measurement job:

• Validation result (pass/fail status: or )• Measurement date and job ID• Name of Tracking and Target Configuration used for validation• Printer with serial number• Company and branch where this printer is located• Comment entered during printer validation process• Number of passed/failed jobs, total number of jobs (footer line)

The user role determines the measurements that are visible on this list:

• Operators can only see measurements made with the Trackings they are allowed to use. These are only measurements made by their own company.

• Administrators and Color Experts can also see certain measurements made by other companies. There are two scenarios:The user’s company shares its own Target Configurations with the other company which makes measurements with a Tracking that uses one of these shared Target Configurations.The other company shares its own Trackings with the user’s company and makes measurements with these shared Trackings.

Print this file by sending it to the input queue of your RIP or digital front-end.


MeasureClick this button to measure the color bar using the selected measure-ment device and condition. Use white backing.This opens a small dialog which shows the patches of the color strips. Click the Start button and follow the instructions on the screen. Click Continue when all strips are measured.

Measure againClick this button if you want to repeat the measuring process, e.g. in case of measuring errors.

UploadClick this button to send the measurement results to the database of the AccurioPro Cloud Eye web server.The measurement will then be available on the Jobs tab. It will also be available on the Dashboard tab until the next measurement with the same Tracking is made. A job ID is generated automatically.

ProfilingUse this button if you want to create device link profiles and an ICC output profile for the current printer according to the specifications of the current Target Configuration. Do this in the following cases:

• To regenerate the profiles if the validation result is negative .• To generate the first profiles for a new printer.

In this case it is not necessary to perform a printer validation process beforehand. Directly click the Profiling button.

NOTE: This option is unavailable if the selected Target Configuration was created using a Target Profile of the type For Color Validation only.

This button is also unavailable if you are using a web browser. Please download and install the Cloud Eye Windows application.

PrinterThis is the name of the printer which is being validated.

Target ConfigurationThis box displays the name of the parameter set which defines the current printer validation process.



Measurement InstrumentThis is the default measurement device defined in the Target Config-uration. You can select a different device if you have not yet made any measurement.

Measurement ConditionThis is the default measurement method defined in the Target Config-uration. You can select a different method if you have not yet made any measurement.

NOTE: It is usually advisable to perform the printer validation and printer profiling process using the same measurement conditions (M0, M1, M2, or M3).For details on these settings, refer to section Measurement Condition.

Measurement count for averagingUse this option if you want to improve measurement accuracy by calculating the average of multiple measurements. This can help, for example, if the validation wedge is printed with streaks or banding.Specify the number of measurements to be made (1–5). The option defaults to the value set in the Target Configuration.

CommentUse this box to enter a comment on the validation measurement.This information will be shown in the list of validation measurements (Jobs tab) and in the list of Trackings (Dashboard tab).

Target Configuration InformationThis is a summary of the validation settings stored in the current Target Configuration and the overrides you may have made in this dialog.When the measuring process has completed, the color deviations are indicated on the right. Validation ResultWhen the measuring process has completed, a large icon indicates the overall validation result:

• OK: Printer is within tolerances.This means that all of the color deviations listed above are within the tolerance limits. The printer will continue to produce good color results.

• Failed: Printer is out of tolerance.This means that at least one of the tolerance values listed above has been exceeded. The printer is likely to produce poor color results. You should click the Profiling button and regenerate the device link profiles.

Download profiling chartClick this button to download the test chart selected using the Profiling Chart option. Save the file to your computer’s file system.Print this file by sending it to the input queue of your RIP or digital front-end. Make sure the input queue is set up to bypass any color conversion, i.e. turn color management OFF.Reclick this button after printing and measuring the test chart for the first time. The color match will be optimized and applied to the test chart. Then print and measure the test chart again.You can repeat this process a few times to further reduce the color deviations. However, this usually makes sense for stable printers with small color drifts only.

MeasureClick this button to measure the test chart you have downloaded. Use white backing.



This opens a dialog which shows the test chart patches. Affix the test chart to the XY table, click the Start measurement button and follow the instructions on the screen. Click Next when finished.The program uploads the measurement results to the web server and indicates the color deviations under Accuracy.

Calculate profilesClick this button to generate the device link profiles and the ICC output profile.Do this only when the color deviations are low enough, otherwise try to further reduce them by reclicking Download profiling chart.The Calculate profiles button becomes available as soon as the second measurement has been made.

↓ CMYK Device Link, ↓ RGB Device Link, ↓ ICC ProfileClick these buttons to download the profiles to your local file system. This button becomes available after clicking Calculate profiles.

NOTE: The Device Link profiles match the printer to the target printing conditions. The ICC Profile characterizes the printer only and needs to be used together with a target ICC profile.Install the profiles on your DFE. Change your RIP settings such that these profiles are used for color matching.

Last created profilesClick these buttons to download the same profiles again.These buttons are only available if a profiling process with the current Tracking has been performed already.

ValidateClick this button to test the quality of the new profiles after installing them on your DFE.This will start the printer validation process. The icon appears if the printer is within tolerances.

SuspendClick this button if you want to interrupt the profiling process. Before doing so, it may be a good idea to enter a comment into the Comment box.The profiling job will be added to the list named Suspended Jobs. You can select the job from this list and continue the profiling process from the point where it was stopped. All your settings and measure-ments will be reloaded.

AccuracyThis table logs the individual steps of the profiling process. Each step consists of recalculating the color match, printing the color-matched test chart and measuring the colors. A new line is added to the table for each step.The table columns have the following meaning:



• TimeDate and time of test chart measurement or color-match calcu-lation.

• StatusLast action taken for the current step:calculatedThe color match has been optimized and applied to the test chart. This was done automatically when you downloaded it.measuredYou have measured the test chart.

• Ø dEAverage color deviation in delta E.A rough measure of assessing the quality of a color match.

• Max dE (C,M,Y,K)Maximum color deviation in delta E for C, M, Y, and K.The average delta E value should always be interpreted in the context of maximum delta E. If maximum delta E is high, the quality of the color match is likely to be poor despite a low average delta E value.

• Stand. Dev. dEStandard deviation indicating how closely the delta E values are clustered around the average value.The lower the value, the better. A high standard deviation means that the delta E values are spread out over a large range of values.The average delta E value should always be interpreted in the context of the standard deviation. If standard deviation is high, the quality of the color match is likely to be poor despite a low average delta E value.

Color deviations decrease gradually as you repeatedly optimize the color match. Take a look at the various delta E values to decide whether additional optimization is required. Click Calculate profiles when the color deviations have been reduced successfully.Click if you want to delete the last measurement. This is required if your device produces erroneous measurement results, for example, or if the color deviations have remained the same or even increased.

CommentUse this box to enter a comment on the current profiling process. This is optional.If you click the Suspend button, this comment will be shown in the list named Suspended Jobs. When you resume the suspended profiling process, the comment will be shown again here in this box.

This is the list of all Target Configurations created by your own company or by any other company to which you have established a Company Link. The dialog allows you to create, edit, rename, dupli-cate, share and delete Target Configurations. It also indicates important properties for each Target Configuration, such as owner-ship, sharing status and usage.

DeleteClick this button to delete one or more selected Target Configurations. Click the buttons in the leftmost column to select multiple items.This function is only available under the following conditions:

This column allows you to select or deselect multiple items. You can then delete all selected items in one go.

ShareThe icon appears here if this Target Configuration has been shared.Sharing means that the company which owns this Target Configura-tion allows other companies to create Trackings that use this Target Configuration.



In UseThe icon appears if there are one or more Trackings that use this Target Configuration.These may be Trackings created by your own company or by other companies. The columns Internally and Others provide more details.

Target ConfigurationName of the Target Configuration.

Owner CompanyName of the company which created this Target Configuration.

Last Modified CompanyName of the company which was the last to modify this Target Config-uration or, if no modifications were made, which created it.

Target Profile

This ICC profile is relevant for the printer validation and profiling process. It defines the printing conditions to be matched on your printer and also the target Lab values against which validation measurements are compared.Select the Target Profile you want to use. This option provides three lists, each for a different type of profile:

For Color Validation onlyFiles defining the CIE L*a*b* target values for printer validation. These files cannot be used for printer profiling. All files created by your company are listed.These target value files were created by measuring a color wedge or characterization chart using the > Color Validation Targets func-tion.

CustomCustom Target Profiles created or imported using the > Custom Target Profiles function. All files created or imported by your company are listed.

PresetDefault ICC profiles defining standard printing conditions, such as ISOcoated V2 eci, included in the AccurioPro Cloud Eye software.

Select the measurement device to be used for the printer validation and profiling process. This is a default setting which users can over-ride when performing a measurement.

Intelligent Quality OptimizerSelect a setting from this list if the printer has an inline spectrophotom-eter which should be used for the printer validation process. Select the setting which corresponds with the printer controller (DFE):

Measurement Condition

Profiling Chart

Select the type and size of test chart to be used for the profiling process, such as ECI2002 CMYK or IT8.7-4 CMYK. Only test charts which are suitable for the selected measurement device and condition are listed here.This is a default setting which users can override when performing a measurement.

NOTE: The TC1617x chart is only available for the following measurement devices: Eye-One iSis (2), Eye-One iO, Konica Minolta FD-9 USB.This option is unavailable if you have selected an item from the Target Profile > For Color Validation only list.

Tolerances

The options under this heading allow you to select the printing stan-dard to be used for printer validation measurements. It defines various tolerance values and the delta E formula. Users can override these defaults when performing validation measurements.

Use Standard Tolerances

Select a printing standard from this list to perform the printer valida-tion process according to the specifications of this standard. This sets the Delta E Formula and the various types of tolerances to the appropriate values.Disable the check box if you want to adjust these default values according to your preferences. You can then select another delta E formula and, if the Level option is set to Custom, overtype the tolerance values.Enable this check box to make sure the values defined by the selected printing standard are used. This will reset the Delta E Formula and the various tolerance input boxes to their original values. These options are then grayed out and cannot be changed.If Intelligent Quality Optimizer is selected for measuring, there is only a limited choice of standard tolerances, which also depends on the selected validation wedge. See table below.

ISO 15311 PSD media relative

Tolerance values for media-relative validation measurements according to ISO 15311 ProcessStandard Digital (PSD). The standard was released in 2011 and updated in 2016. There was no change in 2018.Media relative means that two printed images are viewed one after the other and compared in the viewer’s memory – as opposed to side-by-side viewing. Media-relative color matches do not make a paper white simulation as it is assumed that the viewer fully adapts to the individual substrate.The standard defines three quality levels with tolerance values for different use cases in digital printing. Level A defines strict, B normal and C ‘relaxed’ tolerances.

GRACoL Digital Press

GRACoL is an IDEAlliance committee which develops guidelines for commercial offset printing and proofing. Since 2006 the GRACoL data set has been the de facto standard reference print condition in North America and other regions of the world. The latest update is known as GRACoL 2013.


Fogra Validation Printing

Fogra Validation Printing is the first ISO-based certification which ensures accurate and consistent color quality in digital printing. Fogra defines the following tolerances for Validation Print certification:


IDEAlliance Digital Press Certification

The IDEAlliance Digital Press Certification program is similar to what GRACoL and SWOP is for inkjet proofing, but applies to digital presses. Certification is presently intended for digital print production systems that use xerographic and inkjet technologies. The framework is based on the international standards ISO 12647-8, 15311 and 15339.

G7 G7 is an IDEAlliance specification that defines a universal appearance for grayscale imagery as well as how to calibrate and control any printing or proofing system to achieve that appearance. G7 stands for grayscale plus seven colors (CMYK+RGB).

There are three G7 compliance levels:

1. G7 Grayscale2. G7 Targeted3. G7 Colorspace

G7 Grayscale Fundamental compliance level. The printing system needs to be gray balanced and closely match the G7 target neutral print density curve (NPDC) for black and CMY scales.

G7 Targeted Secondary compliance level, which includes compliance with the G7 Gray-scale level. In addition, the measurements for solid primary and secondary colors (CMYK and RGB) need to match the target values of the G7 refer-ence print condition.

G7 Colorspace Third and most stringent level of G7 compliance. It includes all the require-ments of the G7 Targeted level and adds the matching to an entire target

color space. The average of all the 1617 patches of an IT8.7/4 test chart needs to be within a narrow range of tolerances.The G7 Colorspace level is further divided into two separate purposes: sheet-fed offset printing and proofing. There are slightly more stringent requirements for proofing.


Substrate

This option is only available if you have selected G7 Targeted or G7 Colorspace tolerances. Select Relative if the color of the printing substrate is significantly different from the color defined by the target ICC profile.

AbsoluteSelect this setting if you are using the original printing substrate defined by the target ICC profile. The paper white value defined by this profile will be used as target value for the validation process.

RelativeSelect this setting if your printing substrate has a color that differs by more than 2 (but less than 5) dE2000 from that defined by the target ICC profile. In this case target substrate value of the ICC profile will be replaced with the measured paper white value.

Level

Use this list to change the default tolerance values defined by the selected printing standard. This is only possible if the check box next to Use Standard Tolerances is disabled.The list items have the following meaning:

Delta E Formula

Select the formula to be used for calculating the distance between two colors in a device-independent color space.The selected formula will be used for all printer validation and printer profiling processes performed with this Target Configuration.The Delta E Formula option defaults to the value defined by the selected printing standard. It can only be changed if the check box next to Use Stan-dard Tolerances is disabled.

dE Numerical value that represents the distance between two colors in the Lab color space. This formula was introduced in 1976 and is there-fore also known as Delta E 1976.

dE94 A variant of the dE color distance formula published in 1994. It gives more weight to chroma, which comes closer to what the human eye perceives.

dE2000 Revision of the dE94 formula released in 2000. Unlike dE94, which assumes that L* correctly reflects the perceived differences in light-ness, delta E 2000 varies the weighting of L* depending on where in the lightness range the color falls.

This formula uses an equation (l:c:h) which allows the setting of light-ness, chroma and hue factors. Most common are the following factors:

• dE2000 1:1:1Equal weighting of lightness, chroma and hue. These are the default factors. This formula is usually abbreviated as dE2000.

• dE2000 2:1:1Lightness has twice the weighting of chroma and hue.



dE CMC Color difference formula adopted by the Colour Measurement Committee of the Society of Dyers and Colourists of Great Britain in 1984. It describes color differences in the CIE LCH color space.

This formula uses an equation (l:c) which allows the setting of lightness and chroma factors. Most common are the following factors:

• dE CMC 1:1Equal weighting of lightness and chroma. This formula can detect perceptible color differences.

• dE CMC 2:1Lightness has twice the weighting of chroma. This formula can detect acceptable color differences.

Tolerance Input Boxes

These input boxes indicate the tolerance values defined by the selected printing standard and tolerance level. If you want to modify the tolerance values, disable the check box next to Use Standard Tolerances and set the Level option to Custom. You can then overtype the input boxes.A tolerance is the maximum deviation from the target value that is still acceptable. Every printing standard defines tolerances values for a partic-ular set of characteristic color deviations.

Weighted Delta Ch formulasThese formulas reduce the significance of the delta Ch measurement above a cyan percentage value (c%) of 50 on a linear scale, beginning at 100% significance when c% = 0–50 and terminating at 25% signif-icance when c% = 100.

The goal of the weighting function is to minimize the significance of hard-to-control gray balance errors in very dark CMY grays that are usually covered by black ink.

CMYK Rendering Intent

Select the color space conversion method for CMYK data. This is the method to be used for transforming CMYK data from the target color space to the color space of your output device.For toner-based digital printers it is usually advisable to select Absolute colorimetric without paper white simulation. When color-matching printers with a small color gamut, however, you should use the Perceptual (image) rendering intent.

NOTE: If the Use profile with ColorCentro option is enabled, you can only select Absolute colorimetric and Relative colorimetric.

NOTE: This option applies to device link profiles only. It has no effect on ICC output profiles.



Absolute colorimetric

Rendering intent for achieving the smallest delta E possible and simu-lating the paper color, used for proofing applications.The absolute colorimetric rendering intent transfers the color data to the target color space on the basis of the smallest color distance (delta E). It tries to reproduce the exact colors, i.e. the same CIE Lab values.The white point is not adapted in the target color space, i.e. the paper color is rendered with the same CIE Lab values (but different CMYK values). If you are trying to simulate a yellowish newsprint paper on a bright white proofing stock, a very light tint of yellow (and probably magenta) will be printed in the white paper background.

Usage Use this rendering intent for digital proofing if paper white simulation is important. Do not use it for reproducing scanned or camera images.

NOTE: Absolute colorimetric rendering should not be used if the proof printer’s color gamut is smaller than the color gamut to be simulated. Out-of-gamut colors would be clipped, i.e. mapped to the boundary of the color gamut. This would lead to a loss of color differentiation and shadow detail. Color gradients would no longer be rendered smoothly. Perceptual rendering is more appropriate in this case


without paper white simulation

Rendering intent for achieving the smallest delta E possible without simulating the paper color, used for proofing applications.Basically, this rendering intent is identical to Absolute colorimetric. It also transfers the color data to the target color space on the basis of the smallest color distance (delta E). However, the white point is adapted in the target color space, i.e. the paper color is rendered with the same CMYK values (but different CIE Lab values).Absolute colorimetric without paper white simulation is similar to Rela-tive colorimetric in that both rendering intents map the white point of the source color space to that of the target color space. However, with relative rendering, all other colors are adjusted accordingly. This does not occur with absolute rendering and therefore delta E values are usually lower.

Usage Use this rendering intent for digital proofing to achieve the lowest color devi-ations possible if simulating the paper color is not required. Do not use it for reproducing scanned or camera images.


Relative colorimetric

Rendering intent similar to Absolute colorimetric without paper white simulation. However, the white point mapping causes all other colors to be adjusted accordingly. Mainly used for proofing applications.Basically, relative colorimetric rendering uses the same gamut mapping method as absolute rendering. It also transfers the color data to the target color space on the basis of the smallest color distance (delta E).



The white point of the source color space is mapped to that of the target color space, i.e. paper white is not simulated. In contrast to Absolute colo-rimetric without paper white simulation, this causes all other colors to be adjusted accordingly, which may result in higher delta E values.In addition, a black point compensation is made.If the gamut of the target color space is smaller than the source, identical colors are mapped 1:1. Out-of-gamut colors are mapped to the color that is closest in hue, usually at the edge of the color space (clipping).Relative rendering maintains a near exact relationship between in-gamut colors, even if this clips out-of-gamut colors. Perceptual (image) rendering, by contrast, tries to also preserve some relationship between out-of-gamut colors, even if this results in inaccuracies for in-gamut colors.

Usage Use relative rendering for digital proofing if simulating the paper color is not required.Relative rendering may also be suitable for accurately reproducing scanned or camera images that contain only a narrow range of colors.

Perceptual (image)

Rendering intent commonly used for reproducing photographic images. In proofing applications, only used to prevent out-of gamut colors (at the expense of higher delta E).The perceptual or photographic rendering intent reproduces an image in such a way as to ensure that the human eye will perceive it as a faithful reproduction of the original.It gently squeezes the entire source color gamut so that it just fits inside of the target gamut. This will pull out-of-gamut colors into gamut. Colors at or near the edge of the gamut will also be pulled in to give a distinction between them. Hue is always preserved.

Usage Perceptual is the most commonly used rendering intent for reproducing photographic images. It is usually not recommended for proofing applica-tions.Perceptual rendering should only be used in digital proofing if the color gamut to be simulated is larger than the proof printer’s color gamut. If Abso-lute colorimetric was used, out-of-gamut colors would be clipped, resulting in a loss of color differentiation and shadow detail (but delta E would be lower).

Media relative Special rendering intent for creating media-relative color matches according to ISO 15311. It allows you to use printing substrates with a color that differs slightly (but not too much) from what the printing standard defines.Media relative means that two printed images will be viewed individually and compared in the viewer’s memory – as opposed to side-by-side viewing.The white point of the target ICC profile will be replaced with the color of the printing substrate. This eliminates the paper white simulation. Then an absolute colorimetric match to the modified target ICC profile will be performed.



RGB Source Profile

Select the ICC profile that defines the color space of your RGB input data.NOTE: This option applies to device link profiles only. It has no effect on ICC output profiles.

RGB Rendering Intent

Select the color space conversion method for RGB data. This is the method to be used for transforming RGB data from the target color space to the color space of your output device.NOTE: This option applies to device link profiles only. It has no effect on ICC output profiles.

Different settings are available depending on whether the Use profile with ColorCentro option is switched on or off.

In contrast to Absolute colo-rimetric without paper white simulation, this causes all other colors to be adjusted accordingly, which may result in higher delta E values.In addition, a black point compensation is made.If the gamut of the target color space is smaller than the source, identical colors are mapped 1:1. Out-of-gamut colors are mapped to the color that is closest in hue, usually at the edge of the color space (clipping).Relative rendering maintains a near exact relationship between in-gamut colors, even if this clips out-of-gamut colors. Perceptual (image) rendering, by contrast, tries to also preserve some relationship between out-of-gamut colors, even if this results in inaccuracies for in-gamut colors.

Usage Use relative rendering for digital proofing if simulating the paper color is not required.Relative rendering may also be suitable for accurately reproducing scanned or camera images that contain only a narrow range of colors.

Perceptual (image)

Rendering intent commonly used for reproducing photographic images. In proofing applications, only used to prevent out-of gamut colors (at the expense of higher delta E).The perceptual or photographic rendering intent reproduces an image in such a way as to ensure that the human eye will perceive it as a faithful reproduction of the original.It gently squeezes the entire source color gamut so that it just fits inside of the target gamut. This will pull out-of-gamut colors into gamut. Colors at or near the edge of the gamut will also be pulled in to give a distinction between them. Hue is always preserved.

Usage Perceptual is the most commonly used rendering intent for reproducing photographic images. It is usually not recommended for proofing applica-tions.Perceptual rendering should only be used in digital proofing if the color gamut to be simulated is larger than the proof printer’s color gamut. If Abso-lute colorimetric was used, out-of-gamut colors would be clipped, resulting in a loss of color differentiation and shadow detail (but delta E would be lower).

Saturation This rendering intent is similar to Perceptual (image), except that more saturation is preserved at the expense of hue accuracy.The Saturation or Graphic rendering intent aims at preserving saturation and vividness rather than exact colors. It scales the source color gamut to the destination gamut but preserves relative saturation instead of hue.



Colors become more saturated by being mapped closer to the edge of the destination gamut.

Usage Saturation is the recommended setting for business and presentation graphics such as bar graphs or pie charts, where having bright vivid colors is more important than accurate color reproduction.

Preserve Mid-Tone Black

Enable this option to prevent B/W print jobs from turning into color jobs and to prevent blurred type.If Preserve Mid-Tone Black is enabled, the colors on the gray axis will not be mixed with CMY, only the lightness may change. For example, C0M0Y0K15 may turn into C0M0Y0K19, but not into C2M8Y0K15. This prevents blurred type and B/W print jobs won’t turn into color jobs.

NOTE: When this option is enabled, it may be impossible to match gray tones precisely, resulting in higher delta E values.


Preserve Solid Black

Enable this option to preserve the quality of solid black type and line-work by excluding C0M0Y0K100 values from the color matching process.If this option is enabled, solid black will neither be mixed with any amounts of cyan, magenta, or yellow nor changed in tonal value. This option has no effect on solid black containing amounts of other colors such as C30M20Y10K100.Primary colors (C100, M100, Y100) are preserved automatically.


Use profile with ColorCentro

Enable this option if the device link and ICC output profiles will be used in ColorCentro. This is a color management software product from KONICA MINOLTA, INC.

The following features are unavailable if this option is enabled:

• Optimizing the color match during profiling• Suspending a profiling process• Using the Maximum Ink Amount option• Using certain Rendering Intent settings



Maximum Ink Amount

When several color channels are printed on top of each other, there is a limit to the amount of ink that can be laid down on the paper. This limit, which is referred to as total ink coverage (TIC) or total area coverage (TAC), can be defined here.Ink coverage is specified as a percentage. In a 4-color printing process, the TIC would be 400% if 100% of each process color was used. The recom-mended TIC setting depends on various parameters such as paper stock and printing process. Typical examples:

Use this dialog to share the selected Target Configuration with other companies. Your company will be able to see the results of all validation measurements other companies make with your Target Configurations.

• If the printing system has a CREO or IC-6XX controller, you can disable this option if you prefer to measure manually using the device connected to the computer on which AccurioPro Cloud Eye is running.

• If the printing system has a Fiery controller, validation measure-ments are always performed automatically using the inline spec-trophotometer. In this case it is not possible to disable this option.

If you have selected the Target Configuration from the Intelligent Quality Optimizer is not available list, this option is always disabled and cannot be changed.

Branch Select the company branch where the printer is located. The list contains all branches defined for your company.

Printer Select the printer to be validated or profiled according to the settings of the selected Target Configuration.The list contains all printers defined for the selected company branch. If the selected Target Configuration is set up for automatic measure-ment with Intelligent Quality Optimizer (Fiery), you can only select printers equipped with a Fiery controller (imported from EFI Color Cloud).

Fetch ProfilesThis option is only available if the selected Target Configuration is set up for measurement with Intelligent Quality Optimizer (Fiery). When you click this button, AccurioPro Cloud Eye retrieves informa-tion from the printer controller and updates the Printer Profile and CMYK Source Profile options. The list items are then populated with the ICC profiles which are available for the selected printer.

• If Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer is disabled or Target Configuration is set up for automatic measurement with Intelli-gent Quality Optimizer (Fiery):This box displays the information which was specified for the selected printer in AccurioPro Cloud Eye.



• If Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer is enabled and Target Configuration set up for measurement with Intelligent Quality Optimizer (CREO or IC-6XX):Initially the status (Not received) is indicated.When the Tracking is activated on the printer, the information is sent to AccurioPro Cloud Eye and appears in this box automat-ically.

NOTE: The dialog does not update automatically when a Tracking is activated. Close and reopen it to see the changes.

Fiery ServerThis option is only available if the selected Target Configuration is set up for measurement with Intelligent Quality Optimizer (Fiery). The name of the Fiery controller used for the selected printer is shown here.

Controller Type If the Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer option is enabled, the type of printer controller is displayed automatically here. For Target Configu-rations set up for automatic measurement with Intelligent Quality Opti-mizer (CREO or IC-6XX), this is done as soon as the Tracking has been activated.Otherwise one of the following status messages appear:

• (None) The selected Target Configuration does not use the printer’s inline spectrophotometer. The Use Intelligent Quality Opti-mizer option is not enabled.

• (Not received) The Tracking has not yet been activated on any printer. Accu-rioPro Cloud Eye has never received any data from a printer.

Status This option is only available if the selected Target Configuration is set up for automatic measurement with Intelligent Quality Optimizer (CREO or IC-6XX).If the Use Intelligent Quality Optimizer option is enabled, the Tracking synchronization status is displayed automatically in this box.The status can be one of the following:

User IDName used for logging in to AccurioPro Cloud Eye.

Name User’s full name.

Named set of user rights: Administrator, Color Expert, or Operator.

To see a list of the privileges assigned to each user role, click the Create button, then select the Role list.

Branch Name of the company branch where the user is working.

Division Name of the company division where the user is working.

Usable Trackings… If the selected user has Operator privileges, all Trackings the user is allowed to work with are listed here along with the respective printer names.Users with Administrator or Color Expert privileges can always use all Trackings of their company. The list of usable Trackings is therefore displayed for Operators only.

▪ Create User Dialog

Use this dialog to create a new user account or to modify the selected user account, respectively. The dialog name varies according to the function being used.

Parameters

The asterisk * denotes mandatory fields which cannot be left blank.

User ID *Enter the name to be used for logging in to AccurioPro Cloud Eye. Make sure to use a unique name that does not exist already.The User ID cannot be modified when a user account is edited.

PasswordIf you are creating a new user account, do one of the following:

• Enter a password into the two input boxes. Make sure both inputs are identical.

• Leave the input boxes blank. A password will be generated auto-matically.

If you are editing an existing user account, do one of the following:

• To change the password, enter a new password into the two input boxes. Make sure both inputs are identical.

• To leave the password unchanged, leave both input boxes blank. The password will not be deleted although nothing is displayed in these input boxes.



Email address *Enter the user’s email address into the two input boxes. Make sure both inputs are identical.

Role *Select a user role: Administrator, Color Expert, or Operator.The Guidance area shows the privileges assigned to each user role.

Name *Enter the user’s full name.

BranchSelect or enter the company branch where the user is working. Your inputs are added to the list and can later be selected from it.

DivisionSelect or enter the division of the company branch where the user is working. Your inputs are added to the list and can later be selected from it.

Notification languageSelect the language to be used for email notifications from AccurioPro Cloud Eye.

Receive measurement reportAccurioPro Cloud Eye automatically sends an email message with a report for every validation measurement. This report is always sent to the user who has performed the measurement.Use this option if you want to additionally receive reports for measure-ments made by other users working in the same company. There are the following options:

• Select a company branch to receive reports for all measure-ments made by any user of that branch.

• Select All branches to receive reports for all measurements made by any user in your company.

• Select Not receive to receive only reports for your own measurements.

OKThis button is only available when all mandatory options have been specified. Click it to close the dialog. The user account will be created or modified, respectively.If you have created a new user account, the application will send a message to the specified email address. The message includes the User ID and password. The user needs to activate the new user account by clicking a link in the message.

▪ Company Links Dialog

Use this dialog to see the companies which are linked with your company and the number of Target Configurations and Trackings shared between them. You can create and delete Company Links.Linked companies can share Trackings and Target Configurations with each other. This enables them to color-match and validate printers in the same way and to see each other’s validation measurement results.

Buttons

RequestClick this button if you want to establish a Company Link with another company. Then enter the company’s email address.A message with a link key will be sent to this company. A copy of this message will also be sent to the logged-in user who requested the Company Link.

AcceptClick this button if you have received an email message from a company which wants to establish a Company Link with you. You can then enter the link key and accept the request.

DeleteClick this button to delete the selected Company Link. Now it is no longer possible to share any Target Configurations with this company and vice versa.

NOTE: Deleting a Company Link is only possible if there aren’t any Target Configurations or Trackings which are shared between the linked companies. Each of the two companies needs to reverse the sharing of these Target Configurations or Trackings prior to deleting the company link.

List

Company Name/IDNames and IDs of the companies which have a Company Link with your company.You can share your Target Configurations and Trackings with these companies and these companies can share their Target Configura-tions and Trackings with your company.



Target Configurations shared by – Own companyThis column indicates the number of Target Configurations created by your company which are shared with the companies listed on the left.

Administrator AccurioPro Cloud Eye user of a customer company with the full set of priv-ileges. These privileges include the right to create, edit and delete other users of the same company.

Company Link A link established between two companies that allows these companies to share Target Configurations and Trackings with each other.Linked companies can share Trackings and Target Configurations with each other. This enables them to color-match and validate printers in the same way and to see each other’s validation measurement results.

Dot gain Percentage by which a printing dot is expected to increase in the print run. Dot gain is calculated by subtracting the original dot size from the increased dot size (tone value increase).Example: A dot size increase from 50% to 55% means a dot gain value of 5% or 0.05.

Color Expert AccurioPro Cloud Eye user of a customer company with comprehensive privileges. These privileges include the right to perform many setup and management functions.

Color Validation Target

File with CIE L*a*b* target values for the printer validation process, created by measuring a color wedge or characterization test chart.To validate printers against a Color Validation Target, create a Target Configuration that uses this target. Then, for each of these printers, create a Tracking that uses the new Target Configuration.

The validation results will be displayed on AccurioPro Cloud Eye’s Dashboard.

Target Configu-ration

Set of configuration settings for printer validation and profiling. A Target Configuration defines the Target Profile, measurement conditions, test chart and other parameters. It is not tied to particular printer.To be able to use a Target Configuration for a particular printer, create a Tracking which defines this Target Configuration and the Printer.

Target Profile ICC profile defining the printing conditions to be simulated on another printer. Every Target Configuration uses a Target Profile to specify the target Lab values to be used for the printer validation and profiling process.AccurioPro Cloud Eye includes Target Profiles for many standard printing conditions such as ISOcoated V2 eci. It is also possible to create and import custom profiles.

To create a Target Configuration you can select one of the standard Target Profiles, a custom Target Profile created or imported by your company, or a Color Validation Target created by your company.

Tracking Set of configuration settings which allows AccurioPro Cloud Eye users to match a particular printer to particular target printing conditions. A Tracking specifies the Printer and also the Target Configuration which defines the validation and profiling settings.It is required to purchase a license for a particular number of Trackings. You can then create Trackings with different Target Configurations according to your requirements, but not more than the number that was purchased.A Tracking is always tied to a particular printer. Each Tracking can be used for validating this printer as often as you like and for creating any number of device link or ICC output profiles.
