DONORSMore time, deeper impact. ACES is working to expand the possibilities for the youth that we serve every day and we know that we have the ability to change the landscape of our communities through this work. I am excited to announce our growing partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. Building on the success of years past and aligning with our mission, this year ACES is expanding to provide programming at all five Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Minneapolis and Saint Paul as the primary academic program for youth in grades four through eight.

Over the last two years, we have refined our model, created and revised our project-based, engaging, and standards-aligned curriculum that teaches math and social-emotional skills through the lens of sports. Coupled with growth of our full-time staff team, next year ACES will deliver high-quality programming four days per week, leading to youth spending more than double the amount of time in program, and ultimately to increased results and deepened impact.

We also want to extend a sincere thank you to our valued supporters. None of this would be possible without you. This year was the most successful year of fundraising in ACES’ history. Friends from over 90 different cities, spanning 20 states came together to raise over $800,000 because they believe in ACES’ mission, ACES programming, and our vision to improve the likelihood of success for the incredible youth that we serve.

Thank you for your commitment!

In gratitude,CHRISTINA SAUNDERSExecutive Director

“I’ve been in ACES since last year. I like ACES because it’s fun. I like playing math games because it restarts my brain and it’s a fun way to practice. My ACES teacher is cool. She likes math and does math with us every day. I liked staying out late for field trips. In ACES I built my own version of target field out of cardboard and paper. It was fun because I could use weird materials and cut stuff out. It was really fun to plan things out. Everybody that’s a kid should try ACES!” TRINITY, ACES 5TH GRADER

ACES and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities have a rich history of partnership, first partnering over ten years ago to provide joint programming at Olson and Lincoln Middle Schools in Minneapolis. Our partnership has grown as we find more ways to collectively advance our missions. Going into the 2017-2018 program year, we are excited to build upon and expand this partnership to serve all 4th-8th grade youth as the primary academic provider at all five Boys & Girls Clubs in the Twin Cities.

“In response to the needs of students and familiesin Minneapolis and Saint Paul, ACES and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Twin Cities have forged a partnership to holistically support youth, bridging the gap between school, after-school, and community…This builds on existing programming options for youth at the Clubs and provides increased consistency of programs through direct academic programming delivered by highly qualified ACES staff.” TERRYL BRUMM, BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE TWIN CITIES CEO
