ACFA Apprenticeship Pathways Program has been developed to prepare you to apply for an apprenticeship within the Timber Trades industry: Cabinet Making, Furniture Making, Joinery, Carpentry or Shopfitting
FREE 10 WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM
This hands on program is designed to assist you in gaining skills to improve your chances of entering into an apprenticeship within your chosen Timber Trade pathway. Australian Cabinet & Furniture Association
(ACFA) is a Registered Training Organisation with over
20 years experience providing training and support to the
Cabinet and Furniture industry, a key sector of the

You will learn skills and knowledge to be job ready and employable in a small group environment. Training will be delivered through a blended approach in a classroom and workshop environment. Throughout the program you will have the opportunity to learn about career paths, allowing you to make a better informed decision about your future career direction. Work experience will be undertaken as part of the program providing you with hands on experience in the industry.

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA:
• How to use hand and power tools• How to read drawings• How to make industry measurements &
calculations• Identify career and apprenticeship
opportunities in the Timber Trades• How to effectively communicate in the
workplace and work in a team• Ability and knowledge of working safely in
the industry
This initiative is funded through the South Australian
Government’s Skilling South Australia program. It will be delivered as a
collaboration between the Australian Cabinet & Furniture Association (ACFA),
Employment Options and North East Vocational College.

*upon successful completion of the above units, participants will receive aStatement of Attainment. These units may then be used as credit transferstowards an apprenticeship qualification. NB: Transfer will depend on thequalification and will require approval according to the conditions of the RTO'scredit transfer policy.
