    assessmentmethodforinfrasound.Ofthemeasurescurrentlyavailable,thedB(G)

    weightingbestcorrespondstohumanperceptionofinfrasound,asdescribedin

    InternationalStandardISO7196:1995,Acoustics-Frequency-weighting

    characteristicforinfrasoundmeasurements.

    Thearticlereportsthattheuseofa10-secondaverageremovedtheacousticsignatureoftheturbines.TheISO7196standardmethodrequiresthataminimum

    10-secondaverageisrequiredforverylowfrequencynoise.Wenotethatthe

    developmentofthisISOstandardmethodhasbeenthecollaborativeworkofmany

    industryexperts.

    ThearticlepresentsselectedoutcomesoftheWisconsin(Shirley)infrasoundreport.WenotethatseveraloftheconclusionsoftheWisconsinstudyareinconsistentwith

    currentresearch.TheauthorsoftheWisconsinreportidentifiedshortfallsintheir
