Calling all Active Adults for an afternoon of good times and relaxation. Join us for a delicious lunch and exquisite music. Here’s your chance to win fun prizes. Wonders of Nature

There are many reasons why nature is good for you. Did you know taking a break in nature can improve your concentration. Spending time in the sun helps your body create vitamin D. Mother Nature can reduce stress in the body and so much more.Once a month Active Adults will visit Nature Centers from local Forest Preserve District. We will meet with a Naturalist, they will interpret the natural and/or cultural history of the area. Just some examples we will experience might be… garden care, hands on experience with live animals, bird watching, wildflowers, museum and short strolls. We know that for busy adults and families, healthy choices are not always the easy choices, especially on a limited budget.On the first and the third Tuesday of each month Illinois Nutrition Edu-cation Programs (INEP) is promoting healthy nutrition. Luisita Collazo is a nutritionist she will provide six fun hands-on classes which focuses on saving money. For those of you who just want to get up and dance, let’s do it! These classes are for the beginner or used to tap and would like it again. At the beginning of class every one warms up by doing some simple tap moves to get the feet, ankles and legs working. We will teach you the basics and the advanced steps to make you look like a polished dancer. Ms. Hain teaches adult tap classes and is also the Director of the Tree Town Tappers. The group provides entertainment for the community events, local churches and senior housing complexes. BuncoCalling all Bunco lovers. This program is designed with social butterflies in mind but welcomes all! Come out to learn a new game like Bunco, Dominos, Scramble, card games and more.
