Acts 4:14-20• “And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could
say nothing against it. 15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17 But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.”
• 18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
Acts 5:27-29
• “And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them, 28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man’s blood on us!”
• 29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.”

Abortion“Abortion ends a pregnancy before birth. Women choose abortion in less than 25 percent of the 6,000,000 pregnancies that are diagnosed in the U.S. every year — 50 percent of which are unintended.”“More than one-third of all U.S. women will have an abortion by the time they are 45 years old. About six million women in the U.S. become pregnant every year. Half of those pregnancies are unintended. Nearly 1.3 million women choose abortion to end their pregnancy each year.”www.plannedparenthood.org
Abortion
The Bible Calls…The unborn a “child” not a “fetus” (Jeremiah 1:5;
Matthew 1:18).
The “shedding of innocent blood” a sinful “choice” (Exodus 20:13; Galatians 5:21; Proverbs 6:17).
Sexual Immorality• “Unmarried mothers gave birth to 4 out of every 10 babies
born in the United States in 2007, a share that is increasing rapidly both here and abroad, according to government figures released Wednesday” (New York Times, May 13, 2009).
Premarital
• “It is estimated that roughly 30 to 60% of all married individuals (in the United States) will engage in infidelity at some point during their marriage (see, Buss and Shackelford for review of this research).”
Extramarital

Immodesty
• 1 Peter 3:3-4 says,– “Do not let your adornment be merely outward—
arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.”
• Consider the CEV’s translation of this passage,– “Don't depend on things like fancy hairdos or gold jewelry
or expensive clothes to make you look beautiful. Be beautiful in your heart by being gentle and quiet. This kind of beauty will last, and God considers it very special.”
Immodesty• 1 Timothy 2:9-10 also adds,
• “…women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.”
• Again, notice the CEV,• “I would like for women to wear modest and sensible
clothes. They should not have fancy hairdos, or wear expensive clothes, or put on jewelry made of gold or pearls. Women who claim to love God should do helpful things for others…”
