BID REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – ADDENDUM 1 1/2 RELLIS Administration Complex Extension 1555 Ave D Bryan, TX 77807 Energy Architecture Project #: 19114 Date: 18 January 2021 BID QUESTIONS:
1. Section 01 91 00 references Special Procedure – LEED Certification. Please confirm LEED certification is not required. Response: LEED certification is not required on this project.
2. Section 12 24 00 only lists Lutron as the shade manufacturer. Is Hunter Douglass an acceptable manufacturer also? If so, please provide an acceptable window shade management system for the alternate for Hunter Douglas. Response: Refer to specification section 01 25 00 Substitution Procedures for any substitutions to be reviewed by Design Team. Please use attached Substitution Request form.
3. Specifications for the rubber base and static dissipative floor tile is not provided. Please advise. Response: Refer to drawing A-105 for rubber base and dissipative floor tile manufacturer, types, and sizes.
4. Substitution Request: Window Systems - Sierra Pacific Windows Response: GENERAL NOTE: Bidders to price specified products included in bid documents. Qualified substitutions are to be priced as a voluntary alternate to be reviewed after bid date. Refer to specification section 01 25 00 Substitution Procedures for any substitutions to be reviewed by Design Team. Please use attached Substitution Request form.
5. Substitution Request: Air Barrier – Dörken Systems, Inc. Response: GENERAL NOTE: Bidders to price specified products included in bid documents. Qualified substitutions are to be priced as a voluntary alternate to be reviewed after bid date. Refer to specification section 01 25 00 Substitution Procedures for any substitutions to be reviewed by Design Team. Please use attached Substitution Request form.
6. Remove “Day 2” from Paragraph 5.2.3 of Section 00 21 00 – Competitive Sealed Proposals.
7. Confirm UPS Panels are required for the BAS on this project per 23 09 00 1.2.N? UES’s previous communication was that if there is no backup power, UPSes are not required.

Response: Confirmed, UPS Panels are not required because the building does not have backup power.
8. IR2 lists a flow meter requirement. Typically this flow meter is provided by BAS and is to be by the manufacturers listed in 23 09 00. Please confirm if the BAS contractor is to provide the flow meter and if by a manufacturer listed in 23 09 00. Response: Confirmed, BAS Contractor to provide flow meter per spec.
9. IR2 lists a flow meter requirement. Is the flow to be monitored and on graphics of the BAS front end? Response: Yes, flow shall be monitored on the BAS front end.
10. P1.1 Keyed Note 2 lists a 2” flow meter for domestic water. Is the BAS contractor to provide this scope as it is typical at TAMU? Response: Yes, BAS to provide flow meter for domestic water. Refer to P1.1 Note 14 for flow meter spec
