When presented with an opportunity to serve breakfast to the Sysco Detroit MA’s, Frank Stulock with Key Impact Sales & Systems, Inc., was challenged to create an entrée that would make for an extraordinary meal! He accomplished just that with a “Stuffed Brioche”, featuring Steak-EZE ® Redi- Steak ® Beef Philly Slices—Meat Only (20310). The dish received high praise from the MA’s!

This is a tremendous example of presenting our product in an uncommon and tasteful way. It is also a great example of cross-selling, as this recipe was conceived using other items Sysco stocks as well.

The recipe for the dish follows. Feel free to recreate this for your sales calls!

PREPARATION:

While frozen, hollow out brioche with a cookie cutter. Set aside the “plug”. Thaw and sauté Philly meat. Blend with scrambled eggs, garlic powder, salt, pepper and green onion. Scoop the mixture into the brioche, sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Top with finely diced red and green bell pepper.

Unused “plug” can be served on the side of the dish or used in a different presentation, such as a dessert sampler.

NOTE: Raw Philly meat can be used as well, but it must be drained very well before using in the stuffing.

Peak Performers Promotion for UniPro Members

AdvancePierre Foods is participating in a new promotion for the upcoming UniPro Purchasing Conference. It is the Peak Performers Promotion. UniPro Foodservice picks select ProForma Marketing Partners to participate in this promotion, giving us an opportunity to collectively grow sales with select products stocked by the UniPro members. The incentive levels are given to the members for purchasing and promoting over and above their normal purchases.

UniPro will be sending this information out to the membership. Their sales people (RVPs & RSDs) will contact the members to generate interest and encourage them to complete commitment forms to purchase these products as well as use the incentive money to promote the products.

Our job is to contact the members also to generate interest in purchasing our products and encourage them to use this promotion as a tool to convert any stocked competitors that produce similar products. We will send each of you additional data to aid in this. If there are any other competitive products you find stocked that this list does not cover, you have the flexibility to create custom local promotions to aid in a conversion.

We will contact you and your zone directors and send out additional information customized specifically for your UniPro distributors. The promotion runs from October 20, 2013, to November 16, 2013. AdvancePierre Foods recently attended the 2013 Certified Angus Beef ® brand Annual Conference in Desert Springs, CA. Certified Angus Beef LLC presented the “Bull Award” at the conference, recognizing APF for the sixth time as the top sales volume value-added processor of Certified Angus Beef ® brand products. Rhobb Walter, Pat Penderghast, Michael Terry, Lou Tulley and Pam Godlove enjoyed the opportunity to visit with contacts from all of the Certified Angus Beef ® brand licensed distributors at the AdvancePierre Foods booth during the conference’s Taste Drive. Attendees were introduced to our new 20% marinated Certified Angus Beef ® brand Philly Steak products. Conference leads will be forwarded to the appropriate AdvancePierre Foods sales representative within the next few days.
