Goals and objectives: to introduce and practice vocabulary “advertising” in speech; practice speaking skills

T shows Ss pictures with commercials, billboards, advertorials etc – asks to predict what the topic of the lesson is (optional: to show the video of commercial)

T distributes handouts and asks to do ex 1 where Ss have to match the new words to the categories. Check with the class

3 Vocabulary practice T gives to each S a card with a picture/ or a word. Ss task is to find his/her partner (picture + word)

4 Vocabulary practice In pairs Ss do ex 2 and 3 and then check 10 min handouts Peer work
5 Auction game T divides the class into two/three teams and reads out load the sentences from ex 4 (some of them T reads with correct answers; some of them with the wrong one). Ss’ task is to buy only correct answers. The team which buys more correct answers win.
