Modern Woodmen of America announces board changes

Albert T. Hurst Jr., N. Little Rock, Arkansas, will retire from Modern Woodmen of America’s board of directors effective Nov. 1. He will remain with the fraternal financial services organization as regional director in Arkansas. Joseph A. Sztapka, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has been appointed to fill the board position.

Hurst has served on Modern Woodmen’s board of directors since September 2002. He began his Modern Woodmen career in 1980 as a district representative in western Tennessee, and he was named district manager in 1982. Hurst has served as regional director for Arkansas since 1987.

Sztapka joined Modern Woodmen in 1985 as a district rep-resentative in Wisconsin and was named district manager in 1991. He has served as regional direc-tor in South Dakota since 2003. Sztapka brings extensive experi-ence serving Modern Woodmen members and field representa-tives to the board position.
