Web Access Instructions for EmployeesReporting Absences Electronically

Log On to Website:• www.aesopeducation.com• Use link on district website

• Enter your UserName (ID #)• Enter Your Password (Pin #)• Click <Login>

1. Select the <Create An Absence> on left side of home page.

2. Enter the <Start Date & End Date>Note: MTWRF should automatically be checked

3. Using the pull down menu choose the <Absence Reason>Note: <No Substitute Needed> should be checked as we are not using Aesop for support staff substitutes at this time.

4. Specify <Full Day/Half Day or Custom> for Absence Type.

5. Specify <Start and End Times> (do NOT exceed 8 hours)

6. Click <NEXT> button on the bottom of the page

1. VERIFY all information

2. Finalize the absence by clicking <Save> at the bottom or top of the page.

NOTE: If you are requesting Professional Development In or Out of District you must…

• Describe the Professional Development Opportunity in the Blue Box

• Provide the approximate cost to attend the Staff Development Opportunity (be sure to include the the registration cost, travel expense etc.)

NOTE: At this time you still need to submit a paper form for the financial portion of the Staff Development Opportunity.

Click on Absence Reason Balances on the home page action menu (left side of the home page) to view your absence reason balance details. Aesop will deduct from your current balance on the date of the absence.Pending absences are not deducted until the absence date.

To cancel an absence:1. From your home page <click on the

confirmation number (blue link)> under Currently Scheduled Absences

2. Click on <Edit/Cancel> button

• To DELETE the absence click on the Trash Can

• To EDIT/CHANGE the absence use any of the pull down menus to make the necessary changes to the absence and click save.

NOTE: You can NOT delete an absence (personal/PD) if it has already been approved. If there is a need to cancel an absence after approval has taken place please contact Judy Vilt to cancel the absence.
