m:idea is Singapore’s first youth-led media agency. It was established in 2009, by Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Film and Media Studies.

With youths as the heart and soul of our enterprise, m:idea has a proven track record of helping many brands and organisations reach the youth audience effectively, through comprehensive and creative means.

m:idea interns rotate in a 22-week internship semester; 2 intakes per year, during mid-March and mid-September.

Our Audience

17 to 25 year olds that are interested in school activities and happenings. They are social media users that are always seeking and sharing new information and opinions on the

latest food, fashion, entertainment, gadgets and gaming news.

Baybeats 2017Kooza-Cirque du soleil

The first campus television station in Singapore, set up in Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2001. Shows are broadcasted on 6 screens installed on campus, tapping into a student population of 10,000, and on Youtube too. CTV’s programmes provide campus, local and entertainment news to its targeted viewers.

CTV is constantly involved in producing videos for established organisations also.

Singapore’s first campus radio station, with well-known alumni such as Jean Danker, Vernetta Lopez, Justin Ang, Sonia Chew and more.

Established since 1992, Radio Heatwave provides students with great music and programmes from Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 6pm. Jocks conduct interviews with local and international stars regularly, and also covered popular events.

A bi-annual entertainment and lifestyle magazine published since 1996. It is distributed at more than 30 youth-oriented F&B and retail establishments in Singapore. Packed with stories on entertainment, lifestyle, food, fashion, travel, arts and profiles, HYPE reaches out to the current generation of youths in their various interests.

HYPE has also interviewed many famous international artistes and had opportunities to collaborate with popular local icons.

Reaching out to 30,000 readers each month, The UrbanWire aims to find unique angles for articles that resonate with tertiary-educated 18 to 35 year olds.

Established in 1992, npTribune was the first professional newspaper produced by students, for students. Originally a quarterly publication, the campus newspaper has moved online in 2014, in the midst of the increasingly tech-savvy youth generation.

Known for its investigative journalism, npTribune covers in-depth campus news with opinions and commentaries in sections such as NPeople, Events, News, Opinion, CCA, Lifestyle, Reviews and community news in Global. Today, it provides up-to-date content for up to 5,800 readers each month.
