Headquartered in Redmond, Washington, Avitech International Corporation was founded in 1995 to address the growing demands faced in monitoring. Card-Based Multiviewer / Video Wall Processor The Titan series multiviewers display industry-recognized, high quality computer and video inputs on single screens or 1x2 / 2x2 wall displays. Dedicated video wall processor TitanWall series delivers high-performance wall solutions beyond 72 screens.

Multiviewer with KVM Switcher The Sequoia series adds another dimension of versatility to multiviewing with the integration of a switching function for keyboard / mouse control, audio and USB hubs with support of touch-screen operation.

Pacific MS Overview

The Pacific MS is a modular matrix switcher that incorporates switching, monitoring, distribution, and operation of up to 32 computing devices and video signals. It offers non-compressed high-speed video routing, flexible KVM switching, and multiviewing capabilities through various I/O card combinations. The Pacific MS can centralize control and monitoring of navigation, radar, and other systems on 4K UHD displays.

The Pacific MS can accept a variety of different input types (VGA, DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort via an HDMI Adapter), and consolidate all inputs to display all charts, sensor readings, camera feeds, and other visual information on any number of screens. There are usually a number of computer sources in a fishing vessel wheelhouse. The Pacific MS enables control of computer sources with a single keyboard and mouse. Operating the system is easy and user-friendly with the in-system GUI.

With the Pacific MS, a double ended ferry could be controlled from a single chair. The Avitech Rainier 3G Plus can pull together up to 16 or more camera feeds, and the Pacific MS enables the operator to view all the camera feeds, as well as control any computer sources. The In-system GUI to be replicated on multiple user stations with a GUI Box and Pacific X-HDUs.

If there are multiple workstations spread around the vessel that require access to the same computers or visual information, the Pacific MS can enable all workstations to access all video feeds, as well as control any computer source. With Pacific X-HDUR and Pacific X-HDUT extenders, an operator can control computers up to 100 meters away. The Pacific MS also supports user accounts, which enable controls on the sources each user can access.

The picture on the left was the bridge before the refit, and the picture on the right is the bridge after the Pacific MS was installed. With the Pacific MS, the space is fully utilized, the visual information is centralized and effective, and control of computer systems is clear and easy.

On the Skinney, we utilized four displays combined into a 2x2 video wall. Each screen can show a multiview of up to four windows. The in-system GUI is shown on a display above the video wall for easy control access by the operator. A second station on the bridge has an in-system GUI and two quad-view displays for monitoring. “I think it is a great system. For projects with more than 32 input signals or output displays, Avitech oIP solutions enable clear and efficient display of all necessary AV information. Our oIP KVM products can provide intuitive and user friendly monitoring and operation of servers, remote controlled cameras, computers, and other systems.

For a larger vessel with many video cameras, computers, and systems, Avitech oIP solutions can provide effective monitoring and control of all systems. Able to efficiently manage tens, hundreds, and thousands of source signals and output displays, an Avitech oIP ecosystem is a powerful tool, enabling a crew to effortlessly operate and keep watch over any sized vessel.

With multi-touch screen support and a built in KVM switch, multiviewer, and video wall processor, the Sequoia UHD is a flexible, modular solution for monitoring and operating challenges. With over IP support, the Sequoia UHD can monitor and operate any computer source anywhere on a large vessel. A single Sequoia UHD can display up to four video or computer sources on a screen, and multiple Sequoia UHDs can work together to display more than 16 sources on a single screen in full UHD 4K resolution.

When combined with a UHD 4K Multi-touch screen, the Sequoia UHD enables control rooms across the vessel to easily monitor and quickly review information from multiple cameras and computers at the same time. For example, if an alarm is activated, a crew member can quickly pull up alarm details on one section of the screen, while reading protocols for the alarm on another section of the screen. The Sequoia UHD is currently in use in a number of cruise ship control rooms. “Our customer is very happy about the design of the Sequoia UHD for the ECR (Engine Control Room) in new cruise ships (360 meter long).” – Managing Director of a major cruise ship System Integrator.
