Students interested in agriculture should be resourceful, flexible, creative problem solvers, interested in technology and enjoy continuous learning. High school courses in science, math and agriculture are helpful. This diverse career field offers a wide range of opportunities for students with or without backgrounds in farming. Interested students are encouraged to apply early.
Placement scores required for the program are:• ACT Math – 15 or higher• ACT Reading – 15 or higher• English – 15 or higher• COMPASS Math – Pre-algebra 33 or higher• Reading 73 or higher• English – 59 or higher

Bismarck State College takes a comprehensive approach in preparing graduates for careers in agriculture. This program is for students who will transfer to any four year college in any agriculture discipline. Students will complement their general education requirements with agriculture classes pertaining to their bachelors degree. This allows seamless transfer within the North Dakota University System.
More than 90 percent of BSC’s Agriculture, Technology and Natural Resources graduates find employment in their field with the majority of those jobs in North Dakota.
