The MarketThe Russian food industry still offers a big potential for international manufacturers of equipment and machinery for food processing. Due to the import ban on food products Russia urgently needs to compensate for the lack of food products by developing a competitive food proces-sing industry. The Russian government, thus, has adopted an investment program planning to erect more than 400 projects in the fields of dairy industry, fruit processing as well as pig and poultry breeding.
The ExhibitionAgroProdMash is officially Russia’s best food-processing trade show, by virtue of the testing organisation RussCom IT, regarding the number of exhibitors, amount of exhibition space, number of visitors, and number of countries represented. Since 1996, AgroProdMash has provided manufac-turers and distributors of food and packaging machinery with the oppor-tunity to do business under one roof. Last year 713 companies participa-ted at this event. Trade visitors not only come from across Russia but also from all countries of the former Soviet Union (FSU). As in the past years, German manufacturers will be exhibiting at a joint German stand at this year’s Meat Industry, which takes place in the frame of AgroProdMash.
