HL Business Solutions (Pvt) Ltd (AHLBS) is incorporated in Sri Lanka and provides services ranging from ICT solutions, business application implementations and so�ware development to business process management. AHLBS is a subsidiary of Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd which is a Singapore registered holding company with interest across the food industry value chain. • Rolls out the first Network Infrastructure, including Internet and Email facilities, for the rural plantation locations in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia to connect with the Corporate Office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

• Launches the first ERP system in one of Goodhope Group’s Plantations based in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.

• AHLBS deploys the Group’s international network connectivity between its Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Colombo offices. • Commences roll-out of Oracle Financials as the core finance system of the Group.

• Standardization of electronic communications system of the Group by the introduction of IBM Lotus Notes. • Setting up of the Central Data Centre to store and manage all Group information resources.

• Basic transaction processing activities was centralized through the creation of the Shared Services Centre (SSC). With commencement of operations, the SSC delivered a transaction cost saving to the Group of 40%. • Initiated centralized budgetary and data warehousing services with the objective of optimizing resources.

• AHL Business Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is incorporated combining all service verticals under one roof.

• The Company’s Business Process Management (BPM) and ICT Services were merged under the AHL Business Solutions banner. • Expanded services offered by the BPM vertical to cover payroll (Non F&A segment) within the plantations in Indonesia.

• Expands services to cover 17 of the Group’s plantations located in West and East Kalimantan and Papua New Guinea.• Develops an automated monitoring system to manage the Tank Farms in Indonesia. • A Disaster Recovery site was also set-up in Sri Lanka.

• AHLBS develops and launches an Innovative Product called OPFO• A total of 44 business locations are consolidated into the Shared Services Centre. • The Company receives ISO 27001 Security Certification. • OPFO is awarded the GOLD AWARD in the Industrial Applications category by the National Best Quality ICT Awards 2013, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on October 17th.

Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd., incorporated in Singapore, is a holding company with investments in the food ingredient industry in Indonesia, Malaysia and India.

Goodhope is a part of the group of companies that form Carson Cumberbatch PLC - a Sri Lankan Conglomerate with regionalized business interests ranging from

plantations, oils & fats, beverage, property & real estate development, investments and financial services to leisure. The Carsons Group which has a history in the

plantation business since the late 19th century has the inherent know-how and financial backing that lends strength and stability to propel its plantations, oils

and fats business into the future. The Goodhope group, which entered Indonesia in 1996 by acquiring PT Agro Indomas in Central Kalimantan, has

increased the total developed land extent to 74,913 hectares and has currently developed the necessary processing facilities. In Peninsular

Malaysia, Goodhope currently owns and manages 1,398 hectares of Oil Palm plantations.

As part of its expansion plans, in July 2011, Goodhope acquired three companies that specialize in edible oil refining and specialty fats manufacturing. These companies based in Malaysia and India has given Goodhope direct entry into the food ingredient industry.

Goodhope is emerging as a reputed player in the global food ingredient industry over the medium to long term. The Group has identified its business domain for investments as the food industry value chain with a primary focus on edible oils & fats, with access and control from origination to supply and distribution of value added products. Goodhope has put into operation this vision and plans to further integrate within the industry value chain. This will enable the Group to expand forward and backward within the identified value chain while simultaneously looking for opportunities in potential markets across continents.

Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) vertical supports business

decision making by providing timely, accurate and reliable information to

all levels of decision makers within an organization. We are in a position

implementing Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) by

designing comprehensive and effective performance monitoring

dashboards and analytics to enable prompt decision support. The

availability of extensive data warehousing and data mining capabilities

allows for the provision of intelligence tools and analytical systems for

business planning, financial reporting, Online Analytical Processing

(OLAP), process automation and performance monitoring; helping you to

BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT

The AHLBS Business Process Management (BPM) vertical is highly process driven and

specializes in providing financial and non-financial back office functionalities to our

clients. We have the abilities and knowledge in deploying IT based automated data

capturing solutions linking to back-office transaction processing services that will enable

your organization to optimize process efficiencies and derive economies of scale.

Business Process Management (BPM) services offered by AHLBS are broadly

categorized as follows.

FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING – The Shared Service Center (SSC) offers a wide range of

services in Finance and Accounting (F&A) related transactions that include, General

Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). These services are

offered from Colombo, Sri Lanka. AHLBS has over 5 years of experience in offering these

services to all other Goodhope Group Companies.

NON-FINANCE AND ACCOUNTINGData Processing Center (DPC) - The DPC specializes in all non-finance and accounting

related transactions such as worker payroll. This is a relatively new area of expertise

offered by AHLBS.

Document Management Center (DMC) – The DMC was set-up to handle all

documentation related activities that include the conversion of paper to E-Documents,

handling of all documents that arrive through the Post, Courier and Fax, and storing,

archiving and retrieval facilities for these documents.

The BPM unit at AHLBS has also set in place an integrated BCM plan that incorporates a

risk and governance framework. Confidentiality and data protection are an integral part

The Business Support Systems (BSS) vertical is able to

integrate, design and develop business support systems

The Solution Development vertical was set-up with the aim of

enable our customers to enhance their operational efficiencies, as we are

The Team consciously keeps track of new developments in the IT industry to

One success story is the innovation, design and implementation of a

product that electronically records data of all in-field and operational

activities including Harvesting, Transportation, Upkeep, Fertilizing,

Agronomy, Quality Audits, Mill Grading and also Human Resources related

aspects such as worker attendance and work allocation. It is a scalable

product capable of catering to multiple entities and business units. This

device known as OPFO, has been successfully deployed in the Goodhope

Group’s plantations based in Indonesia.

ICT INFRASTRUCTURE

ICT Infrastructure vertical provides an array of ICT infrastructure

services and support to our clients globally. Our range of services

which spans from the traditional to the latest includes ICT hardware

management, connectivity to diverse locations, provision of

bandwidth and data services and the latest in virtualization such as

cloud computing.

Our primary Data Center is located in Colombo with

state-of-the-art technology and is supported by an off-site Disaster

Recovery (DR) Centre under the Group’s Business Continuity

Program.

We help organizations take firm control of their IT costs, enhance

their corporate system security and improve their ability to support

their own business and operating strategy for the future. With the

vast experience of having set-up end-to-end ICT services within the
