ActivInspire to ClassFlow Desktop

HOW TO DOWNLOAD CLASSFLOW DESKTOP Go to www.classflow.com and Create an Account. If you already have an account, log in and on the home page click Get ClassFlow Desktop and download it. DESKTOP ICON Once your software has been installed, you will notice a ClassFlow Desktop icon on your desktop.

THE WHEEL Upon opening ClassFlow Desktop, you will see a small circle with three lines appear on your computer screen. This is known as “the wheel”. It will launch each time you click on the ClassFlow Desktop icon. You can open a whiteboard session, annotate over your desktop, open a recent file, take screenshots, access ClassFlow features, etc..

TOOLBAR The ClassFlow Desktop toolbar is similar to ActivInspire. In ClassFlow Desktop if you would like to find the colors for the Pens, you will click on the up arrow. ActivInspire

ONSCREEN TOOLS The tools below have the same functionality in both ActivInspire & ClassFlow Desktop platforms.

NAVIGATING PAGES You will use the toggle carousel in ClassFlow Destop to navigate pages. ActivInspire ClassFlow Desktop

ADDING A BLANK PAGE To insert a page, simply select the toggle carousel and then the plus symbol on the far left.

UNDO AND REDO You will use undo/redo arrows to “undo or redo” the last movement on the page, the same way you have done in ActivInspire. ActivInspire ClassFlow Desktop

TOOLBOX The toolbox contains various presentation items you may find familiar from ActivInspire.

CAMERA TOOL You will utilize the camera icon to capture screen images, the same way you have done in ActivInspire.

HANDWRITING RECOGNITION The handwriting recognition tool allows you to write freely on the display and then it will automatically convert to text. ActivInspire ClassFlow Desktop

ANNOTATING ON THE DESKTOP Desktop Annotate allows you to annotate over any item that is being displayed on your desktop.

RESOURCES AND FILES In ClassFlow Desktop, you can convert PDFs, Flipcharts, and SMART Notebook Files.

SAVE To save a ClassFlow Desktop lesson, you will select the cog wheel and “save as lesson”. ClassFlow Desktop lessons are saved as .CFL files. ActivInspire ClassFlow Desktop
