On behalf of AIESEC Canada, we are honored to invite you to Ottawa as a delegate to the annual National Congress in 2015. We look forward to welcoming the incoming leaders of the local committees in AIESEC Canada while celebrating the outgoing leaders for their great work this past year.

AIESEC aims to develop students to become youth leaders with practical learning experiences that enable them to be socially responsible, entrepreneurial and culturally sensitive. We provide the youth the opportunities for development and the necessary skills to succeed and create immediate impact in the communities.

National Congress is an annual conference that brings together over 400 student leaders from 30 AIESEC Chapters all over Canada, enabling companies to meet the most passionate and leadership-driven youth across the nation. Through skill-based workshops, corporate interaction, strategic planning and national alignment, National Congress allows for a unique opportunity for organizations to work closely with the youth and create a better community of tomorrow.

The Organizing Committee has worked tirelessly since the beginning of 2014 to bring this conference to you. We hope National Congress 2015 will be a memorable conference for each delegate.

AIESECly Yours,

Organizing Committee Team

The Co-operators “Leading the Change” challenge: rethinking the way financial institutions engage young adults

The Co-operators believes that young adults have an important role to play in its mission of ensuring financial security for Canadians and their communities. But to do so, we need your help. We want to hear your ideas! This is your chance to influence the strategy of a multi-billion dollar organization that protects two million Canadians.

Your challenge: You are a member of a consulting group, tasked with preparing and delivering a pitch to Co-operators executives on a specific topic. You will be assigned one of the following five topics.

Topics: 1. Giving good incentives for good driving: The Co-operators

en-route Auto Program™ provides discounts on insurance for safer driving based on technology installed in your car. How should this product be marketed to young adults under 30 years old?

2. Promoting our co-operative values: As a co-operative, The Co-operators is fundamentally different from investor-owned corporations. How can we promote our co-operative values to young adults in a meaningful way?

3. Promoting health and wellness: Insurance helps you recover from injury or illness, but preventing illness is better. What are the greatest preventable risks to your health and wellness, and how can The Co-operators educate you on preventing those risks?

4. Financial planning after graduation: Upon graduation, many young adults focus solely on paying down their debt, or worse, have no financial plan at all. How can The Co-operators encourage you to build financial literacy and continue investing in your future? What type of education do you need to better understand your finances?

5. Connecting through social media and technology: We know you don’t follow us on social media. But maybeyou might if we provided the right tips and information and asked the right questions. How could The Co-operators engage young adults in a dialogue through social media and other technology?

Prizes: All AIESECers in the group that creates the best overall pitch will each receive a $50 prize and bragging rights! The runners-up will each receive a $10 prize.

See you on January 2 in Ottawa!
