Dear AIESEC International and AIESEC in AP,

1 Established in 2007, AIESEC

in Iran dream to provide a platform for Iranian for cross culture understanding and

youth leadership development.

However, due to regional political issues, no collaboration

between Iran and MENA for exchange and operation.

3 Luckily, with the cooperation

with CEE ,WENA and AP, since 2012, we started to focus on exchange product and grew

from 5 to 70 in one year.

Now we want break the political limits and change region from MENA to AP, to get into global

plenary, start the collaboration and contribute to whole global plenary.

ICX since AIESEC in

Iran was established,

which is the last one

from all regions.

MCP Summit

• MCP is not able to

travel to MCP

summits for region

for planing and

collaboration for

the past years due

to visa issues.

• AIESEC in Iran

members are not

able to travel to

MENA XLDS or other

regional conferences

due to visa issues.

• No CEEDer between

Iran and MENA to

cooperate and support

in Operations.

• No MC’s entity-

partnership visit to

MENA for cooperation.

• Less Entity visits are

able to be

conducted by AI

MENA Responsible.

Challenges we are currently facing with AIESEC in Iran being in MENA:

• AIESEC in Iran is being provided minimal support and learning for improvement of operations for MC team, LCs and members.

• AIESEC in Iran is facing a lack of space to align with regional vision and goals.

• AIESEC in Iran has not been able to align with the Global Plenary and global direction effectively.

• AIESEC in Iran is facing legal challenges and there is minimal space to provide support on that.

• AIESEC in Iran has been Leadership pipeline challenges. The current MCP is re-terming, and Elect MCP is an international. Only one Local member fit the minimum requires as MC Candidate.

All of these cause many issues such as:

• AIESEC in Iran has been experiencing unsustainable growth over the past years.

• More support and learning for improvement of operations for MC team, LCs and members.

• More space to align with regional vision and goals and align with the Global Plenary and global direction effectively.

• With more opportunities like regional conference and CEED programs, members from AIESEC in Iran could develop leadership in a better way.

Benefits to change to AP:

• With 22 universities in Tehran, AIESEC in Iran has a huge market to send much more OGX EP to AP entities.
