message from thepresident

The One Where Utmost Courage is Called Forth

SU/IG PRESIDENT13/14, 14/15

ready to pass the baton,REANNE MEDINA

Dear aspiring IGP, !Presidency taught me two things: to be grateful and to never give up. !Being grateful has made me more wise, because I am reminded that the places I’ve come from - whether high or low - and the selves I’ve been - whether good or bad - were necessary because they all led to the unfolding of things much greater than myself. Opportunity and growth feed on courage and heart, which is why I always quote, “that with gratitude the universe is eternally abundant.” What has always made me stay wasn’t the position, it wasn’t the grandeur that came with being President. it was the people. It’s priceless to hear, “Because of you, I didn’t give up. Because you believed, I did, too.” It makes all the hardships worth it. Presidency is the most challenging position I’ve ever been in my entire life, but it certainly is the most rewarding. !We tend to see the value of our collective experiences when they are long past, always in retrospect. But today, I challenge you to see the value of potential, of the not yet, of what may be, what could and will be. Be brave enough to envision for this entity and turn that vision to reality. !Be the future. Make it happen.
