stainless steel ensures durability; the fabrics in a variety of textures and four natural colour concepts

“I DON’T LIKE DETAILS THAT DON’T MAKE SENSE.

I FOCUS ON THE ESSENTIAL.”

When it comes to his designs, Danish industrial designer Rasmus Falkenberg has a clear-cut approach: “I am curious, I want to understand the people using my designs: Who are they, how do they live, and what do they need? Can I improve their lives with what I create? That’s my inspiration!” The industrial designer‘s signature minimalist style is also expressed in the Air collection, which is defined by soft shapes, clean lines, and natural colours. “The furniture has a delicate look that allows it to work in small spaces. The design‘s appearance is harmonious and soft.” The emphasis for the materials was on durability. To achieve this, Rasmus Falkenberg combined stainless steel with Corian®. “That was the first time I’ve ever worked with Corian®. A truly extraordinary material with a beautiful surface, that offers endless processing possibilities!” When asked to describe his collection in three words, Falkenberg affirmed, “versatile, individual, durable. Air fits perfectly into every home.”

Wenn es um seine Designs geht, hat der Däne Rasmus Falkenberg einen klaren Ansatz: „Ich bin neugierig, möchte die Menschen verstehen, die das Design benutzen: Wer sind sie, wie leben sie, was brauchen sie? Kann ich ihr Leben mit dem, was ich mache, verbessern? Das ist meine Inspiration!“ Die minimalistische Handschrift des Industriedesigners zeigt sich auch in der Kollektion Air. Sanfte Formen, klare Linien und natürliche Farben dominie-ren. „Die Möbel sehen zart aus, um auf kleiner Fläche zu funktionieren. Das Design hat einen harmonischen, wei-chen Look.“ Bei den Materialien lag der Fokus auf Beständigkeit, dafür kombinierte Rasmus Falkenberg Edel-stahl mit Corian®: „Es war das erste Mal, dass ich mit Corian® gearbeitet habe. Ein wirklich außergewöhnliches Material mit schöner Oberfläche, das unendliche Möglichkeiten der Bearbeitung bietet!“ Mit welchen drei Worten würde der Designer seine Kollektion beschreiben? „Vielseitig, persönlich und langlebig. Air fügt sich perfekt in jedes Zuhause ein!“
