THE SIX FUNCTIONS OF KNOWLEDGE BROKERING

Commonalities/Interconnections of knowledge brokering themes emerging from literatureIn undertaking the literature review, a variety of knowledge brokering themes, as espoused by the various authors were revealed, and are presented below:

• interpersonal communication and connections• poorly connected worlds• volume of data/knowledge increasing• commitment to evidence-based practices/evaluation• learning from others/collaborating/partnering• knowledge from easily accessible and trusted person/relationship – sought • concerns of mixed or blurred lines of accountability• sound operational processes• people, process, and technology• linking and bridging • changing organisational culture
