Staff Graphic DesignerMISSION CULTURAL CENTER FOR LATINO ARTS / [ 1998-2000 ]At the MCCLA, an arts center in San Francisco’s Mission District, I was the in-house graphic designer. I also programmed film events weekly, which often had tie-ins with the local art and fashion student scene. My favorite part was doing the promotion for these gallery events and finding fresh and innovative ways to create a buzz. I realized I had found my career niche.

Airbnb promotional contest >>This is a case study for a promotional contest that would drive consumer engagement and pique interest in Airbnb as a place to book travel accomodations. All Airbnb social media channels would promote it. Key markets would get a billboard campaign as well. The end goal would be increased visibility of the brand and more dowloads of the app on mobile devices.

This was a concept for HP to help them differentiate themselves in the printer
category from their competitors. It launched at Staples. It provided better
decision making tools for consumer in a a vibrant and cleaner store aisle.

These were Sony displays designed to be modular and flexible. Made for their sound products they needed to work for both their
high-end stores (like Sony Store) and economy channels (like Costco). Thus, the higher end stores displays used premium
materials whilst economy store got a more pared down look that still messaged Sony’s
premium style. Social media was a key feature and helped further the brand story.

For this pilot the goal was to re-brand Sports Authority’s in-house sportswear
line and to differentiate it in a higher tier bracket while still communicating a value message. I was lead designer on
this concept for the project.

WORK IN PROGRESS
This is a case study of Google as a brick-and-mortar store. I was inspired by fashion. I feel that in the
future Google may well be a hybrid tech AND fashion brand as wearable technology
