Application NotesSlops Water Treatment Package
Project Name:Quad 204 Project
Location:Quadrants 204 and 205 of the UKCS, approx. 130km west of Shetland
EPC Contractor/Consultants:KBR
End User:BP
Scope of ApplicationThe scope of supply for this project is to provide a slops water treatment package for the FPSO vessel to replace the existing Schiehallion vessel, to continue the development and exploration of hydrocarbon reserves in and around the Quad 204 area. A skid mounted hydrocyclone package is to treat the slops waters from the dirty slops water tank on board the FPSO. The package consists of 1 x 100%, 26” NB hydrocyclone vessel, complete with instrumentation and piping for efficient and safe operation.
The vessels are fabricated from duplex stainless steel and piping in low temperature carbon steel. The hydrocyclone package is capable of treating a maximum flow rate of 200 m3/hr of dirty slops water.
Quad 204 FPSO Application Performance
The package is designed to treat oily slops water with an inlet concentration of 1,000 ppm(v) to achieve a guaranteed outlet of <15 ppm(v) using Alderley’s AP20 high efficiency deoiling hydrocyclones.
