Welcome

My name is Alexander. I’m a young designer from Belarus. In short I can describe myself as an open-minded, ambitious,

self-motivated individual with a strong eagerness to learn. I have the personal crreativity and also very practical and

realistic. I think I’m lucky man because I like what I do.

During my studies I practised and developed skills in the area of product and graphic design, 3D modelling and ren-

dering. I also self-taught myself programming languages such as HTML and CSS to be able to create and develop web

pages. In addition to that I attended various art studios and workshops where I worked on my art skills. I enjoy what I

have achieved but always keep an eye on my next step of development.

I lived in 3 countries and speak 4 languages which makes me a pretty valuable asset to any team.

POSTERS.

Portfolio Alexander Palivoda

Making posters was also part of my education at Belaru-sian State University. I used to choose different subjects, make research and after make up ideas for posters. You can see here two posters made for “tattoo saloon”.

8

Page 11: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

My subject here is “wine restaurant” and on these posters you can see just how my imagination works depending on context.

3D Modelling is without any doubt a big part of designer’s life. So I always make sure that my level in 3D modelling is good enough to create and present my ideas in a best way possible.

Here are some pictures of Mini Cooper which I made while practic-ing in 3Ds Max and V-Ray.

You can see that I re-ally take it seriously. Without my 3D skills I would have had big

difficulties to make good presentation

and impress my teachers.

I always try to choose something

that is not so easy to create in 3Ds Max. In

this particular case it’s Ford Mustang.

The final result is not bad, is it?

This bizarre-looking car is none other than my diploma project at Belarusian State University. I have worked on it for 8 months and you can see the final result here. This project personifies my crazy idea of “how a car might look in the future”. My goal was to make something absolutely new, so that nobody could even compare or liken it to something that they’ve seen in their life.

I dare say that my imagination did well here and along with my diploma teacher we have made a good job. And my skills in 3D modelling just helped to present our work in a best way.

I’ve got 10 out of 10 for this project and it makes me really proud.

If your bag is overloaded, your zipper will get broken easily

any robber can easily unzip your bag just using a simple pen

PROJECTS.Problems with your zipper:

1. Every bag has a zipper which can be short-lived. For example you can unwit-tingly tear it off at any given moment.

2. There is also a risk of being robbed by someone (see picture below).

That’s why I want to propose a lock that can cover the whole body of your bag and protect it from heavy pressure (during the period of transporting) or rob-bers or any other unforeseen situation (like broken zipper).

Nowadays the durability and solidity of your travelling bag is a high issue. My project “vest lock” is an attempt to make your trip as safe as possible in terms of security.

The constraction consists of two horizontal straps, one vertical strap, that has two clasps and hexagonal base at the back which provide stretching to any size depending on a bag.

PROJECTS.

This is a simple scenario of how the “vest lock” can be used.

18

Page 21: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

It can be used for bags with differ-ent sizes cause you can stretch it and

change its lenght or width

It is made of inexpensive material so the price should not be high

The “vest lock” wil make no obstacles for wheels

Any potential burglar will likely choose another suitcase which will be easier for him to open

It is a compact, light-weight construction which doesn’t add so much extra weight to your luggage

There is a special rubber layer inside called “Smart Guard“. It’s very flexible but also very solid and is difficult to cut

And I apply this “Smart Guard“layer to my project and use it as an inner layer of the straps

ART WORKS.PROJECTS.

Portfolio Alexander Palivoda

This project is called “O Shower” and is made in collaboration with my two fellow designers. We worked as a team and each of us contributed to the final result which I showcase in my portfolio.

To wash themselves our ancestors used to stand under waterfalls. The Egyptians were the first to use what we call today a shower . Years have passed before in 1887 the shower was finally re-invent-ed and took its place in our everyday life.

Looking at the evolution of the shower since 19th century we can see a lot of changes in terms of form, shape and water spray but the main principle has stayed almost unchanged: the water comes from above.

But is there another way of taking shower? Could we imagine a more efficient shower that cleans better, takes less time, con-sumes less water and even more relaxing?

20

Page 23: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

The ring moves upwards and downwards, cleaning your body gently.

Imagine that you’re walking slowly into the sea, and your body is gradually adapting to the water temperature starting from your feet. Our team is be-lieve that using such method in shower can make the whole process of tak-ing it more relaxing.

The water is sprayed at an angle of 20°. It pushes all the dirt and soap down, gives more comfort and prevents water from spraying up in the face and other sensitive areas.

All water jets converge at one point which gives additional pressure for the water

spray. Water is mixed with air so we have less water consuption.

One of the shtick of this project is mixing water with air so that we reduce water consumpion.

PROJECTS.

You enter the shower cabin and close the door.

Then choose the mode using the touch-screen panel.

The shower ring starts moving vertically from the bottom to the top and vice versa while water is comfortably sprayed on your body through doz-ens of nozzles.

When you have finished just step out of the cabin, close the door

and the shower will automatically clean itself.

22

Page 25: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

Knowing what time it is can be very useful,

especially in the morning when we are al-

ways in a rush. That’s why there is a digital

clock on the panel.

A shower timer keeps track of time for you

saving water and avoiding morning stress.

It has a little alarm that sounds 60 seconds

before the end of session.

Thanks to the mode button we can

choose what type of showering we

want to take: quick, normal or special.

You can set up your

shower manually. This

option lets you choose

a specific part of your

body that you want to

wash. To do this, simply

tap on the image of

desired body part and

push “start”.

Cleaning shower after taking it is now a thing of the past because “O Shower” cleans itself. When the shower ring is down it means that cabin is clean of any dirt or soap.

Precision Linear Actuators are electrical actuators that operate in AC closed

loop systems with drive control.

- more cost-effective in comparison to hydraulic and pneumatic

-energy efficient power transmission

- maintenance is minimized

- easier with programmable controls

WORK.

Portfolio Alexander Palivoda

Here is one of the projects implemented by the company that I worked for.

We had precise measurements of the future wardrobe and our goal was to find the best possible solution in given circumstances.

Our client just wanted a pure, simple design for his wardrobe and all we had to do was stick to his desire.

My part as a designer was to participate in the whole process start-ing from blueprint and making good 3D drawing at the end.

24

Page 27: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

WORK.

Portfolio Alexander Palivoda

Here you can see some variations of the wardobe interior. During the process we tried different combinations of shelves and drawers. Not that all of them were that creative but again we did what we were told to do.

26

Page 29: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

The final result was not that bad I be-lieve.

WORK.

Portfolio Alexander Palivoda

Here is again a project of wardrobe made last year by our team. The client was the same and his preferences remained untouched: as simple and as fast as possible. So there were no room for the flight of imagination.

My role here was just the same as it was for the previous wardrobe project: design (made in collaboration with other co-workers), then sketching, 3D drawing and presentation.

WORK.

Portfolio Alexander Palivoda

This image is made specifically for posters or visit cards. The idea behind it is that our company can make any de-sign for your kitchen even if it could be something really crazy. My boss asked me to make the effect of “tromp l’oeil”. I don’t know do you recognize it on this poster but he was satisfied.

The software I used were Adobe Illustrator and Photo-shop.

Here are 3 logo ideas for our client. He just asked us to make logo which consists of his initials - “A. F.” So i did it. He chose the 3rd version.

30

Page 33: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

Here are the 3D images of layered ceiling. Our com-pany was mainly oriented on any job concerning in-terior design and renova-tion. This kind of design is sought-after nowadays and my task was to make such drawing which we then put out on our website to make sure that our potential cli-ents are aware of what we are capable of.

Unfortunately I’m not al-lowed to show the photos of the projects that were carried out in practice in my portfolio. But anyway, I can demonstrate what I did as a designer.

We could have done lay-ered ceilings of any possible shape but our clients always wanted something that looks common and simple.

WEB DESIGN.

Web Design was always my passion and I’m glad that I‘m finally into it. I am going to show you just some of my best web pages made this year.

I studied web desing the whole year and now I know HTML and CSS well, as well as some JavaScript. Also I have studied usability and used that knowledge while making web pages.

32

Page 35: Alexander Palivoda. Design Portfolio 2016

Web design and development are my current focus and I work every day to improve my skills in it.
