Finding Rational Zeros
Goal: To find the rational zeros of a
polynomial function. [AAPR.2 & A.APR.3]
Finding Rational Roots (whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
If a polynomial function has integer coefficients, then every rational zero of f has the following form
List all possible rational roots.
1. f(x) = 5x4 + 12x3 - 16x2 + 10
2. f(x) = x3 + 2x2 - 11x -12
Find all real zeros of the function.
3. f(x) = x3 - 4x2 - 11x + 30
4. f(x) = x3 + 2x2 - 3x - 6
5. f(x) = 3x3 - x2 - 33x - 9
