HISTORY:
Quinta da Garrida was bought by Aliança Vinhos de Portugal in 1998. Situated on the foothills of the Serra da Estrela (Estrela Mountain Range) in the Dão Region, the Aliança Dão distinguishes itself for the diversity of wines it may offer. Due to the vineyards being divided in separate parcels, the Aliança Dão wines are vinified separately preserving the authenticity and character of each vineyard. The granitic soils create mineral wines with great freshness.
PROFILE:
The year 2011 was extremely dry allowing the reception of grapes perfectly ripe and healthy. The grapes of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz used for the production of Aliança Dão 2011 presented the perfect maturation which has made it possible to produce a wine with great color, great aromatic complexity and a balanced acidity.

TASTING NOTES: Solid core of toast and fruits, soft tannins, persistent, fresh and elegant wine making it a great company for a wide selection of dishes.
GASTRONOMY: Ideal to go along with traditional dishes from Dão region.
