Once your group has agreed on the prices, split up into two pairs and set up a shop. One pair of students will run the shop as the cashiers.

You also have a shopping list of things you need to buy. The other pair of students will go out as buyers to buy the items they need on their shopping list. Use chips as a cost of 1, and write down bills as large as you need

100 and 1000 are written in your base. If you multiply them together, what do you get, in your base and in base-10? Why does that make sense? __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

13 and 132 are written in base-4. Try adding them together without translating into base-10. Then translate and see if you got it right.

How would you write that in scientific notation for base-8? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
