It is intended to give students multiple visual representations (images and video) about what they might see if they go on a safari as well as why people go on these adventures. This presentation will be

used in conjunction with non-fiction texts to facilitate a Smarter Balanced approach to activities and assessments.

W.K.2 Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose informative/explanatory texts in which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about the topic.

What is a safari?A safari is an adventure that you go

on to observe or hunt animals in their wild habitat.

Most people go on safaris in Africa.
