Step 1: Sort the Fabric A squares into piles of the following:purplespinksredsorangesyellowsgreensaquasblues

It is not important to be precise, but rather just a general color pool for each stack. You will pull from these as you construct each block.

    Step 2: Gather:five purple squaresfour 2-3/4” Fabric B squares

    Assemble the Nine-Patch Blocks

Arrange in three rows of three, noting the orientation of the Fabric A pieces. Sew the squares together to form rows, pressing the seams away from Fabric B. Sew the rows together, pressing the row seams open or to one side.

The resulting block should measure 7-1/4” square.

Step 3: Repeat Step 2, pulling Fabric A squares from the color stacks to make:three purple/pink blocksfive pink/red blocksseven orange/yellow blockssix green/aqua blocksthree aqua/blue blockstwo blue blocks

Incorporate colors from neighboring hues on the rainbow where desired. Example: mix a green square in with an orange/yellow block.
