Welcome to the All Saints bulletin. I am glad you have chosen to spend a few moments looking around, discov-ering our Church family. As I describe All Saints to people, I use words ‘community’ and ‘family.’

We are a group of people committed to following Jesus and making him known in Hayward and beyond. That means we pray to him with vigor and joy. That means we encourage a cul-

ture of prayer in church and throughout life. That means we work together and develop a culture of teamwork. That means we love people outside the church through generosity, invitation, and compassion. That means we develop a culture of active discipleship.

Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed at All Saints. And once here, we pray that you will meet God and as a result of meeting God, give your lives to Jesus Christ. We want that for you. Come as you are. Check us out, but more importantly, seek the truth of God that can only be known when one knows Jesus.

While you are browsing our website or reading our bulletin, you will learn about our programs and get a glimpse of who we are, but only a glimpse. To fully understand us, come to one of our masses and feel the up-close, in-person fellowship that comes when people share time together at the table of the Lord, listening to his Word and knowing the Holy Spirit is present. Enjoy the bulletin, then come. We’d love to meet you and know you.

Rev.

Simbang Gabi 2019

In keeping with the Filipino tradition of Simbang Gabi, early morning mass will be cel-

ebrated daily at 6:00 am during the 9-day period before Christmas, in addition to the

regularly scheduled daily masses at 8:30 am. Simbang Gabi starts on Monday, Decem-

ber 16th and ends on Tuesday, December 24th. Light breakfast or early morning snack

immediately follows in the Senior Hospitality Center.

Simbang Gabi is in keeping with the spirit of “starting the day with our hearts blessed,

our minds revived, and our bellies full”, just like it was long ago when the Spanish fri-

ars celebrated pre-dawn masses for the benefit of the Filipino farmers who had to be in

the fields at dawn and the fishermen who had to work their nets before the sun rose.

Individuals or families or groups who wish to ‘host’ or ‘co-host’ a breakfast any time

during these nine days, please call the church office.

Join us as we all prepare for the coming of the baby Jesus!
