Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management

Studies (BRIMS) was set-up as a pioneer

management institute in Thane in the academic

year 2005-2006 and today it ranks as one of the

best colleges in Mumbai.

The institute was setup with a vision to make the

Thane city the hub of management education par

excellence. DR VN BRIMS is approved by

AICTE and follows a quality policy in terms of

delivering quality education which is why the

institute is a ISO: 9001:2015 certified.

About DR VN BRIMS

We are pleased to release this booklet Alumni Avenue of DR VN

BRIMS which presents the profile of our past students from 2005

onwards. In all, the Alumni Avenue includes the profile of 70

students. The DR VN BRIMS alumni association known as

Marma-Bandh, has set for itself certain objectives which is

presented in this booklet. There is no need to articulate the

importance of an alumni association for an educational

institution. The mission of Marma-Bandh is ‘to develop, nurture and strengthen a lifelong relationship between DR VN BRIMS

and its alumni’. VPM Thane makes every effort to ensure that its

respective institutions foster the right relationship between the

concerned educational institution and past students.

DR VN BRIMS has also maintained this practice with a view to

network with its alumni and also ensures that there is an effective

networking with past students, among themselves, inter-se. The

network among past students is a very important platform for the

alumni and present student to identify their oneness and develop

a camaraderie which can really initiate a bonded relationship to

ensure successful fulfillment of the envisaged mission.

The alumni meets periodically and also annually at a special

function organised for the meet. Over the years, the bondage has

developed and grown into a family relationship under the broad

umbrella of VPM’s (Thane)

DR VN BRIMS. We hope this bondage will continue and

strengthen itself further to deliver effective services to all

stakeholders of the alumni, VPM’s (Thane) Group of

Institutions and society at large.

We wish our alumni every success in all its professional and other

spheres of life.

For a teenage institute, like Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies (DR VN BRIMS), it is a matter of pride to see our alumni flying high in their professional

lives. Many have reached senior positions as Vice Presidents, General Managers, Senior Managers in

reputed world-class organizations. They are connected with the institute through various forums both formal as well as informal. Alumni are invited at the institute for delivering guest lectures. The alma mater feels proud

when alumni get associated as visiting faculty with the institute. They are also invited for evaluating projects and

conducting viva. ‘Chai with Alumni’ is another forum facilitating mentoring for the current students by our

distinguished alumni. Our alumni also actively participate in the sports and outbound training camps organized by us. We have recently formed the alumni

association named ‘Marma-Bandh’. Alumni are an inseparable part of the DR VN BRIMS family and we are happy that they are connected with their alma mater and

we value this life-long association. This alumni booklet is an effort to compile the profiles of

our alumni since 2005 (names arranged in alphabetical order), which gives recognition to the alumni and an

opportunity for the institute to express its ‘Marma-Bandh’ with the alumni forevermore.
