  • From the BBA Prayer Ministry Team Leader

Every Christian should set their heart and mind and soul and will to pray regularly every day. The psalmist said morning, noon, and night will I pray. Unless we definitely set our purpose to pray for a worthy length of time daily, we shall never make much of the glorious gift of prayer. And when we pray as we ought, problems about prayer vanish. He who enters into the vine-branch relationship devotes himself not to the problems of prayer, but to the problem of getting himself to pray and continuing

steadfastly there in. E. F. Hallock

May we be an association that is devoted to prayer. Pray individually, pray as a church! There are enormous advantages to being people of prayer. Pray for our nation, pray for our association, pray for your pastor and the leaders of your church. Pray for our missionaries and those who are being persecuted because of their stand for Christ. Pray for Christian businesses, for God to raise up Christian politicians who have a Biblical World View. Pray for a mighty revival and spiritual awakening in this

darkening land of ours. Just Pray!

    In His Grip, Bro. Anthony

    The Challenger

March 2015 As you probably already know, Colby and Whitni Corsaut and family have been called by God to go to France with the International Mission Board. Colby was, of course, the director of Baptist Collegiate Ministries on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Since the announcement of his call to go to Europe, the search for his replacement has been prayerfully progressing. I am grateful to God for the opportunity to introduce that person to you now.

Please join me in welcoming Trey Hedrick as BCM director at SOSU. He and his family are no strangers to the Durant area or the BCM at SOSU. Both Trey and Paige (his wife) hold degrees from Southeastern and I suspect their daughter, Abrah, is already being groomed as a staunch Savage Storm fan! Since graduation from the university Trey has served in a variety of ministry positions in this area. These include the roles of Youth Ministry Intern at First Baptist, Durant, Associate BCM Director on the SOSU campus, and, most recently, pastor of Voca Baptist Church near Caddo. He will assume leadership at the BCM on March 1st.

I can say without hesitation that Trey is God's man for this work. I look forward to working with him and his staff as BCM continues to make an important impact on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Please join me in a commitment to pray for Trey, his family, the BCM leadership team, and the students at SOSU as the gospel is shared and disciples are made. I love you all, Tim
