New Advanced Benchtop Bioreactor System for Parallel Fermentation or Cell Culture
ambr® 250 modular is an innovative new high performance benchtop bioreactor system for parallel fermentation or cell culture in 100 - 250 mL single-use bioreactors. The system utilizes the same advanced stirred tank bioreactor technology pioneered in the original ambr® 250 high throughput system. The system comprizes a series of elegant benchtop modules enabling 1 - 8 bioreactors to be operated in parallel and a control module with intuitive system software accessed via a user-interface screen.

Productivity
Each single-use bioreactor vessel is fully integrated with sensors, feed reservoirs and syringe pumps which make it possible for experiments to be set up and turned around rapidly. One scientist can operate up to 8 bioreactors at a time. Both these factors allow lab productivity to increase significantly.
Scalability
Because the bioreactor vessels are geometrically similar to larger bioreactors, all processes on the system correlate empirically to those of large bioreactors making for optimum scalability.
Ease-of Use
The bioreactor vessels’ integral elements make it possible to focus on the process not the set-up. A user no longer needs to connect multiple tubes or filters or sterilize the vessels. The size and layout of the system also offer a uniquely ergonomic user experience.
Modular
The modularity of the system means that it can be extended to meet a growing company’s needs.

ambr® 250 modular System Combines 1 - 8 Bioreactor Stations and a Control Module with System Software
Individial peristaltic pump Accessible for each bioraeactor, enabling substantial feeding and harvesting tasks. This is in addition to the 5 integrated syringe pumps in each bioreactor.
Bioreactor moduleHolds 2 bioreactor stations. Up to 4 modules can be connected to the controller allowing expansion of capacity from 2 bioreactor system to 8.

Each bioreactor is fully integrated with 5 liquid reservoirs and proprietary single-use syringe pumps. The integration simplifies experimental set-up, eliminates any need for vessel sterilization, and significantly reduces any error due to manual handling.

ambr 250 modular is supplied with the same advanced software as the established ambr 250 high throughput system. Users can design new and complex experiments and analyze results easily and quickly. The software encompasses 4 distinct applications.
Process Definition To develop experimental protocols and algorithms from new or previously used templates. Simplifies management of all the reactor and reservoir controls including temperature, pH, DO and feed flow rates making it possible to design experiments of great complexity with minimal training.
Experiment ViewerThis historian application allows analysis of experiments completed on the ambr 250, presenting all the data generated including parameter profile, alarms and interventions. Displays experimental protocol and time in which steps were completed. This data rich platform provides all the information required for full understanding of experiments while enabling export and import of data to or from different sources.
RuntimeExecute and monitor up to 8 experiments simultaneously in real time. Add, delete or edit additional processes. The intuitive user-interface gives flexibility to correct or change experiments mid flow and with ease.
Results ViewerEnables user to analyze large data set generated from multiple completed experiments, including those from other bioreactor technologies and across the full suite of ambr products including ambr 15 and ambr 250. All data can be graphed on the same plot at the same time providing a comprehensive platform to view extensive data, allowing for fast and effective process analysis.
